Part of the reason for this re-emergence, following an injury riddled 2013, he says, is Alan Richardson.
“I think he has been sensational,” he said. “You can’t ask for too much more in a coach.”

If and it's a big if...... He doesn't get injured and they don't reduce the interchange rotations next year. Then he'll front.

Lenny did win the B&F in 2012 under Watters.magnifisaint wrote:Part of the reason for this re-emergence, following an injury riddled 2013, he says, is Alan Richardson.

So he must have also been sensational.
But seriously on current form Lenny has to go on next year. Even if he can only play 12 games thats fine.

Re: lenny talks
Committed to play next year from my reports.
Hopefully injury permitting he will get to 300.
Would be just the icing on the cake for a universally admired footballer, person and Saints legend !!

How many games will he have to notch in 2015 to get to 300.

He certainly hasnt committed to anything for next year from what I hear. Reckon he will decide in the last couple of weeks of the season.
Re: lenny talks
To have Lenny as 300+ player would be a proud moment for the club and inspiring to supporters. Saints supporters need every little scrap of pride that can be thrown at them next year. Even if Lenny does struggle to get out on the park for every game he would basically be an extra assistant coach to our very green midfield and we need as much development support as we can afford to get make sure these very young players develop in the optimum way. He could even go on to the long term injury list if he did a hammy or something. Go on Lenny, the club needs you! (yet again!)saintbrat wrote:He is on 287 now

Re: lenny talks
Apart from all the above, we could use some of the short term surplus in the Salary cap to reward somebody who MAY HAVE copped unders in the past due to strains in the cap due to overs paid to others!Bluthy wrote:To have Lenny as 300+ player would be a proud moment for the club and inspiring to supporters. Maybe we can all sign a petition and you can give it to him from us He needs to play his 300th full stop.tony74 wrote:If and it's a big if...... He doesn't get injured and they don't reduce the interchange rotations next year. Then he'll front.
Re: lenny talks
As much as this is against public opinion, I think it would be a massive mistake for Lenny
to go another year. I love him as all you do but I would have been happy for him to give
it away post 2013. Sometimes it isn't the worst thing for coaches to look at his faults at
this point to retiring. I understand we are a s*** team with a s*** midfield and that would sway his
thinking. Be an assistant in 2015 Lenny, not a player.

You havent given reasons why it would be a mistake. he is likely going to be first or second in the B&F baring injury so form isnt an issue.

Re: lenny talks
Agree, but it is rd13, do you want him keeping a youngster out of the team
at rd13 next year? That is a very long time in football, we may be winning.
I love Lenny as much as all of us, but I think he should play the rest of the year
as if it were his last, because I think it needs to be.

Who is he keeping out of the side? We lack mids as it is and some we have arnt good enough anyway. I agree that he should retire if he is keeping guys out but I cant see it at the moment.

Re: lenny talks
He's coming first.
In a midfield that is disgusting.
Like being the best batsman in the Zimbabwean team. Lenny would win the B&F in this team at 43yo cause he's a warrior but,
It an indictment on the team.
The fact we are carried by a 34yo is frightening

Sorry i saw it. it was about 8 posts ago and something I wrote yesterday. maybe if you just used names or quoted. Quoting is better because then people dont have to look and actually find the post. Try it some time. it will make nearly everyone else happier. Surely you would want that. dont see the point of your post really. We know we arent a good side. We are on the bottom of the ladder. I suppose he could be coming 18th but I dont see how that makes the bottom side any better.
Re: lenny talks
Please don't tell me what to do, or how to do it.
I am not a fan of your commentary, and take absolutely zero out of what you say in any situation. I don't rate your opinions on football and any other....
To me
You're like a Melbourne supporter in some ways... In other ways you're a typical saints supporter who accepts their position in the scheme of things.... IMO of course
So please take your advice and.....
Oh, because perception is an issue for you
I was referring to P66
