what has he done/said?
Re: Jamie Cripps
Dunno about that... But he's no loss.
Since going to WC he's averaged about 10ppg last week 3 touches against Haw.
Best thing about Cripps? He got us Newnes!

Re: Jamie Cripps
Really!? Am surprised that he's played nearly every game over 3 full seasons + whatever Watters played him... would have to be close to 65-70 odd games then.plugger66 wrote:

You do realise he got injured in him first year at the saints? And has played 27 out of 34 at WCE who even though not a great side in that period are clearly better that us. By the way i think he played 2 under SW. Why have 3 out of 4 coaches continued to play him?

I rate him, he is a front runner but he kicked goals and had pace. Post Milne we could do with some one quick and evasive. Losing him and Tom Lynch were bad moves for a team who don't have much to show for that period of drafting. Both still have plenty of time to develop into good players. There was an unrealistic expectation that he should have been a super star after a couple of years in the system.

Re: Jamie Cripps
He is an opportunist/front runner (most guys under 23 are)- but he is an above average player. Would be in our best 22 comfortably.

Absolutely HATED being in Melbourne. Wouldn't have given it a shot for any team based here.

Not sure that is correct. Wanted to get home to his family and girlfriend but doubt he hated melbourne.

Re: Jamie Cripps
I'm by far a good judge of the game but in the big picture of our rebuild I see Cripps' loss as a blink of an eye.
GLWYP West Coast. Doubt he'll be part of your next flag.

Re: Jamie Cripps
Maybe you should speak for yourself plugger and not for tony74.
Agree with must here that I'm not fussed about Cripps leaving. And feel we have likely won that exchange if Newnes was the replacement.

You obviously must rate him very highly thenplugger66 wrote:

So a player that bar injury has played almost every game under 3 different coaches, and only 2 under a coach that has since been sacked.
I guess you feel that the trade was weighted in WCE's favour... Pbly worth at least a 1st rounder
Re: Jamie Cripps
West Coast are not a great outfit... He suits their side.
He's a #24 draft pick who's played 50 games and 22 yo and never graduated out of the 50... And as I stated he gets it ten times a game.
Eli, a rookie at 18
Siposs is a tallish player taken at 75
He has a bit of an excuse for lack of output
To get pedantic p66
He has not played at a team who has played finals...
He has got picked because of injuries at StK... And injuries to LeCras, Hill and Wellingham at WCE
He'll play games... Just not significant ones against reasonable opposition
His effort against Hawthorn was weak

To get padantic BM he was pick 24 but it actually equated to around 35 because of picks before the draft. Why does the WCE style suit Cripps. Isnt it usually that small forwards struggle in ordinary sides. Look at Milney last season and he has been a very good player for a long time. And he is playing at WCE when all those 3 you mention also are. he is no star thats for sure but he has played more games than probably 80% of footballers in the history of the game. No idea why I even waste my time talking to you about it because you will never change your mind. Thant goodness he left the saints because you would be hoping he failed jst so you can be proven right. Funny that you dont ever answer the question about why 3 coaches have played him in most games when available. By the way Trevor barker never played in a team that made the finals. No idea what that even means.

Re: Jamie Cripps
My granddaughter had a school colleague aged around 10 that would contradict the person speaking whether he/she was correct or not. It irritated her fellow students so much that she (contradictor) had to change schools because she had no one associating with her.
Its almost like this ten year old is haunting this site.

Freebird do you have any knowledge at all about our club. I cant work out why anyone would bother to post what you post 90% of the time. By the way tell me which part of what I wrote is wrong?
