Re: VFL RD 10 Sandringham vs Collingwood
Half time 10.12 to 4.4 sandy dominated the qtr but kicked poorly. Rucks absolutely smashing them. Pierce and Holmes are a great combo. Minchy, Dunnel, TC, Savage, Stanley, sippa all playing well sippa missed a couple of sodas.
Gwilt impassable in back half
Maister working his arse off

Wowee!
A bit of the ole mojo from Savage.
(Although he does seem to play better when the side is dominating)
Thanks for the reports Thunda

Re: VFL RD 10 Sandringham vs Collingwood
Just got back from the game. Sandy dominated the first half and should have been a mile in front but kicked poorly for goal. Second half was ruined by pretty solid rain throughout.
saints listed players generally went pretty well. Savage and TC were probably BOG. I was really impressed with our ruck combo, it's the best I've seen from Holmes so far, he again dominated the hit outs but he also won his fair share of th footy around the ground. Pierce will be a star. He is the tallest of all of our ruckmen, is super mobile but most importantly, he's a natural footballer, runs to the right spots uses the ball well and has clean hands.
Sippa and Stanley went alright without dominating and Maister was his usual battering ram self.
Gwilt was good in defense and Rogerton and Markworth created a lot of run off half back. Markworth was really good in the second half
Dunell started well but dropped off a little after half time. He gave a huge spray to Cockie as he ran off the ground after giving away a stupid free kick. Cockie didn't like it and gave him a spray in return.
A quick mention about Sandys 23rd man , Grace, geez he looks impressive, quick evasive and a smart user of the footy. Saints should keep an eye on him.
Finally, I stood right next to the sandy bench and was listening to the instructions from Peta Serle to the players when they were coming off for a spell. She speaks very well and was really instructive, she has a great knowledge of the game.
