Re: Round 13 Team Changes
Well, after watching Sandy last week, they brought the right guys in.
It'll be out of Ross, Simpkin, Jones, Murdoch, and Billings.

I would be happy with that - or rest Billings - let Ray play - I would trade Ray if possible end of season - he can play just can't kick to a targetborderbarry wrote:For me it would be Jones, Ray, and Dunnell to miss.

Ray is worth nothing at all so he is delisted or stays.

Out go CJ and Dunnell, in come Webster and Armitage
Re: Round 13 Team Changes
I'm sure Ray is happy with that comment
If I have to wander down to Seaford to tell a 25 game Ruckman ... I don't rate him
Perhaps you should do the same with a 150+ veteran who has been a mainstay in teams best 18 for the best part of a decade? Who is apparantly worthless. Farren on the trade table. Pick 45-55. Only because he's only got 4 or so years left. But with that pick... You've guaranteed youself a 50+ gamer.

I know you will never answer questions but is CJ or Lenny worth anything on the trade table. If I told Ray he wouldnt get traded I reckon he would go no s***. He is a keeper or he will be delisted. i would keep him based on current form. He is 29 next season so he cant be traded. You called Hickey a gumby I called Ray nothing at all. You really dont understand a lot of the time but hey keep trying.

For Gwilty to come in one of the defenders would have to go out.

Re: Round 13 Team Changes
I think Dunell should get another game..a good player and a bit unfair to drop him after the team got clobbered by the in- form team. I was more disappointed with the efforts of experienced players in Ray and Jones who should go to the VFL and probably time to send Billings back to the VFL- he is a work in progress. Armo, Gwilt and Webster in.

Agree.saintbob wrote:Only the two changes for me;

Stick a fork in Billings, cause he's done....give him a week off, then a few lower-intensity hitouts in the VFL before coming back for another stint in the Seniors later in the year.
Saunders was good last week, I'm happy for him to play that defensive forward role and keep Jones out. However, if Jones hasnt been dropped thus far, i'm not sure it will ever happen??
I'm not impressed with Dunell, for all his form in the VFL over the previous years, he's shown a whole lot of nothing at senior level. But he needs a stint of a month or so to see if there is any hope of a future at that level.

Re: Round 13 Team Changes
I still would have bought Stanley back, simply because we need a back up ruckman and he is a better option than Lee.
Just hope he makes a good showing this weekend at Sandy, because we have Cox and Natenui (sorry if I spelt that wrong) next week.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

I think Billings has played 5 quarters in 3 weeks.

Waiting for Stanley's extra gear is like Waiting for Godotspert wrote:I think Stanley just has to do a whole lot more before he will get back in the seniors- needs to find that extra gear.
Re: Round 13 Team Changes
Yeah it was a heavy load for Longer last week. Was he getting a chop out from Lee or Rooey I didn't really notice? Longer does strike me as one of those players who thrives on hard work. He needs to build up a big tank to start to be a able to make an impact away from hitouts. He got outmarked a couple of times when he was in front that was criminal. But he does work hard around the clearances when it hits the deck.3rd generation saint wrote:I still would have bought Stanley back, simply because we need a back up ruckman and he is a better option than Lee.

Re: Round 13 Team Changes
Billings is the only player in the teamthat can hit a target and people want him dropped?
Are we aiming at a new record in disposal inefficiency this weekend?
