Saints are just banging it blindly long out of the packs. Need more composure - lower the eyes and find a closer target
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Port
The holding the ball rule is an absolute joke. When a player is run down from behind and is dispossessed its play on but when a player gets gang tackled and has no hope in hell of getting it out he gets pinged.WTF!!

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Port
Work your arse off for 25 minutes to draw level, and one disgusting holding the ball decision later against Murdoch and 3 goals in 3 minutes and you're back where you started. Not one comment from the callers about how embarrassing the free kick was. It's gut wrenching. It really is.

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Port
Saints playing dumb footy and handing the game to Port. Lee land Simpkin providing contests, Lenny and Saunders doing well, but unless Richo gets his players playing closer to their opponents, then we won't stay in the game- 4 unmanned Port players in our forward line a couple of times. The home- ground umpiring effort is just a bit too obvious and I reckon the umps might get a talking to at half time. Murdoch's holding the ball near end was a disgraceful decision- it was plainly wrong, and resulted in Port goal. Milera got a head high spoil in the forward line that should have been a free to him. We don't need the umps helping the opposition.

He was chasing the St Kilda player. That's never been 50 in the history of the gane.3rd generation saint wrote:Not to mention a non 50 metre penalty to Dunstan where the Port player clearly ran between him and the player on the mark.

Skills are deplorable. How many on the fulls do you want?
Umpires are so inconsistent it is just not funny. When a player has not had prior opportunity, gets caught and tries to get rid of it but he can't because there are opposition players holding the ball in then that is not holding the ball, maggot!

Are you watching, no prior opportunity and he did try, the ball was pinned, if that is going to be paid everytime we wil have 120 frees a gamekosifantutti wrote:Doesn't matter if he made no effort. Re: Match Thread - Saints v Port
Fox Footy are hopeless.
Tommy Lee takes a hanger and they can't wait for the next stoppage to show a replay of - some Port guy slipping over.
Hayes kicks straight to Saunders and they call it a turnover.
We finally get a free in the first quarter but we don't see it because we'd rather watch Polec limping off.
"Port haven't looked like kicking a goal this quarter" except for that mark the Port player took 10m out straight in front.
No mention that Simpkin had come back on.

But none more costly. Another disgraceful decision against us when we had the momentum. AFL umpires would have to be the most incompetent officiators of any sport. No wonder you're not allowed to publicly criticise them. A sure sign they need to be protected because they are generally poor.kosifantutti wrote:Doesn't matter if he made no effort. Re: Match Thread - Saints v Port
I don't want us to reverse a free kick when we actually get one but how not one of our players even remotely remonstrated with that Port prick when he hit Rooey in the head is beyond me. Stand up for your mates, SAINTS!

This will be popular. If a 50 is a free we have 3 goals out of 4 from frees and they have one out of 7. The holding the ball looked wrong to me.

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Port
Why does this sh!t always happen against Port.
We have lost 2 games over the last ten years against these teal bogans due to sh!t umpiring decisions.
I'm f****** sick of it.

Re: Match Thread - Saints v Port
Having a crack but foot skills are are a disgrace, and we play dumb football.
How many more times will two to three of us run the contest against one Port Adelaide player only for him to either tap it out or handball to to loose players who stayed out of the contest.
Lee and Simpkin throwing themselves in but Longer needs a rocket he was totally uncompetitive.
Umpiring inconsistent, the holding the ball rule is interpreted differently depending who the controlling umpire is.
