Sidebottom how many weeks?
Pre meditated to take out tagger of Pies Captain.
Feet left ground.
Elbow to face.
Weller out of entire match.
Anything less than four and I will lose my rag.
Hope our Preaident speaks out on this one.

Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
Its on points so nothing to do with what Con said. Im going high contact, Medium or high impact, maybe medium and reckless. 3 down to 2.
Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
Medium contact and Weller is out for the game with concussion - don't think so.
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
I thought the run - down they gave at half time was about right...
High contact, reckless, medium impact, gave 350 points down to 270ish with a guilty plea. Can't really argue any of those, maybe high impact if they find Weller has any issues with his jaw or anything.
Makes no difference to us, we don't play them...

Nothing at all ? Really?
You dont think elbow to face is analagous to 'high contact'?
You dont think Weller being unable to play is related to 'Impact'?
Premeditated not analagous to 'deliberate'?
Not real good at thinking are ya old sport.

Said it was high contact Con but reading isnt a strong point by the looks of it. No way it will be delibarate but lets have a wager. If you are right I will print the pm you sent me and if I am right I will print the pm you sent me otherwise just have the courage to say it now. As I said nothing to do with what Con said. Lose my rag. President speaks out. Good one Con.

I'm pretty sure they won't take into account who Weller was playing on. It will be reckless, high contact, medium impact. You have to kill a bloke to be classified as high impact these days. Viney on Lynch was medium impact.

Steele Sidebottom will go down as one of the funniest names in AFL history. I mean it sounds like a character who'd be a regular patron of The Blue Oyster Bar.

I was giving my opinion on the incident. Not trying to predict what the mrp would say.
you then said what I said had 'nothing to with it'
Firstly it was my opinion and not about the points system.
Secondly what I said was closely related to the points system anyway.
Print it. Go ahead. Make sure you do it in full though.
Dont edit it for your own purposes. Print the whole thing.
Go for it.

Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
3 down to 2 I'm guessing.
Was a very strange thing to do assuming that he doesn't want to be suspended... I don't think it was pre-meditated TBH.

Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
There are four gradings of impact.
Low, Medium, High and Severe.
I'd argue that if it's bad enough for the player to be subbed off from, essentially, the start of the game then that is high impact.
Anything less than that will be another nail in the coffin of the MRP...who must be on thin ice after the Viney debacle.

Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
Anyones guess, some of these get medium some get deliberate ...it's how ever the spinner they use to make it up comes out. Did anyone else notice someone cleaned up CJ with a head high hit too but the commentary didn't get very excited about it. Hope Buckley isn't taking out taggers.
Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
I reckon they should get rid of the points system and all this medium impact, high/low contact, reckless, 25% discount for a guilty plee etc.etc. crap and go back to the way they used to suspend players.
You flatten someone, you get what you deserve. How many weeks you get should be determined by the severity of the impact.
In the case of Sidearse, he deserves to get 4 weeks minimum as I reckon it was a deliberate act.

Re: Sidebottom how many weeks?
If it's assessed as HIGH IMPACT (as it should be) he will get 4 weeks, down to 3 with an early plea. The Collingwood propaganda machine is already in action, saying it is MEDIUM IMPACT. That would mean 3 down to 2. It all depends on whether the MRP takes any notice of Collingwood !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
