Re: Game Thread Saints v Pies
The area where we had three shots on goal the qtr are always low percentage for a right footer.... Outside 60 degrees on the RHS....It's an are as a defender you give up first... As a fwd you lead last, and almost look for a quick play on centre.
We needed reward for effort.
Our kicking to leading fwds is very poor. Can't seem to spot them up?
Newnes is very much a Jason Gram kick .... Actually type player.... He drops it high, and if he hits it sweet he gets good depth, but is erratic off the boot. His good kicks are strong, but irregular

Lumumba and Young
30+ uncontested pos
Love too know who was opposed to them?
I'd say
Dempster was the opposing loose to one of them
And perhaps a HF or Wing

Any chance of a player hitting Riewoldt on the chest.

So many punchable heads on the Filth list. Jamie Elliot a prime example.

Re: Game Thread Saints v Pies
For starters he needs to be getting about double that as our best midfielder. Regardless his disposal has been terrible and decision making not much better. If that's a good game for him then he is a c grade player at best. I expect a lot more and feta not hope the coach does tooluc1966 wrote:Love how Joey cops a ribbing but he has had it 15 times

Re: Game Thread Saints v Pies
i don want to alarm anyone but we are a little bit poo.......
are wre ready for another spoon? this proud team says yes!
our efforts are sloppy and lazy. I don't care if we have 6 people out or what ever... you put on the colours you give it your all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
week in week out I think we will give a bit more but nope the same people give the same effort.. If the players gave half the effortof the supporters we would at least be competitive week in week out....

Re: Game Thread Saints v Pies
There are too many excuses being given out. They are significantly undermanned too and playing on our home ground and we have been absolutely thrashed. Coach has to have responsibility at some point. It's not being hysterical to say the coach has had a shocker and is generally struggling at the moment. I'm not sure who is to blame for the kicking but how to exiplain someone like milera who is high on skill (low on strength) repeatedly missing targets/goals under no pressure?
