Hah, Hah, Hah Dragit, they might be a little loose with the wording, it could be GT, hasn't he got a couple of wannabe sons living at home........dragit wrote:"Former star with teenage son" rules us out I would imagine, as we don't have any imminent father sons coming from former stars?

The article actually says "former champion AFL player", rules out GT pretty comfortably.Apples wrote:Hah, Hah, Hah Dragit, they might be a little loose with the wording, it could be GT, hasn't he got a couple of wannabe sons living at home........dragit wrote:"Former star with teenage son" rules us out I would imagine, as we don't have any imminent father sons coming from former stars?
Can't see Banger beating up Connor with a baseball bat, but you never know…
I'll pick Collingwood, just for a laugh.

A champion is not defined by a number of wins, but by the courage shown to get up when your down

GT wore the Big V
That makes him a Champion.
That makes him a Champion.

Dermott Brereton, I'm reliably informed by a source at the Herald Sun.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

It is Dermott. Came out at our footy club on Tuesday or Wednesday. His son hasnt been playing in the junior side he coaches and apparently has some pretty serious personal issues.

Well it looks like all the sookie la las didn't get what they hoped for, someone to bow down to their opinions.
But seriously and teasing aside I hope by the thread title in the link it's not true, regardless of what footy team.
No wonder BF canned it

Do you think he was a former champion player? I've never heard GT spoken of in that regard.
Re: Hope it's not an ex-Saint?
I do my Dad played for Vic.

Which AFL team did he play for?
Re: Hope it's not an ex-Saint?
Yes he played for Vic, but he played for South United footy club,(and later the bloods) Swans wanted to pick him up but he didn't want to play for them, Things are different these days, Now days are all about dollars. Forget exactly what he said but could play for the Swans for a couple of Shillings or stay where he was with his mates

No worries stinger...
Would you class grant as a former champion of the game?
I can't imagine many doing so, though he might have been a fine player.
