An alternative name for the Indigenous Round can be "who can dress the silliest round".

I think the yellow was replaced because the colours are the same as the German flag.dragit wrote:I actually liked that jumpersaintdooley wrote:I may be wrong but I remember years back (maybe 04 or 05) we wore the red yellow and black jumper in heritage rd, as we used to wear it about 100 years ago but they changed back to red white and black due to something to do with WWI at that time? They could have just replaced the white panel with yellow.
The Germans weren't popular back then.

Again nothing wrong with the jumper. It's not as if they have to wear it every week.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Of more concern is wasn't there something about an "anti-homophobia" round?
Goodness knows what jumper designs they will come up with for that

What sort of motif do you envisage on the jumper?stevie wrote:Velcro back that opens easily from the rear...Enrico_Misso wrote:Of more concern is wasn't there something about an "anti-homophobia" round?

Norm Lebrun was NOT indigenous.
Hopefully the next edition of 'Strength through Loyalty' will correct this error.

Why are the jumpers offensive? The north melbourne one is sensational and tells a story about the history of the club. Are you offended by the designs or the concept of the round. Because by the red neck and very unfunny comment re the anti homophobic round I tend to think it is the concepts

Re: Indigenous Round guernsey
I really like the St Kilda guernsey. Using our colours of red, white & black it presents a strong, uncluttered, dignified design.saintbrat wrote:The story behind

I like the symbolism connected with this design, & that it acknowledges the traditional land owners of the area around St Kilda, Moorabbin & Seaford.
The Boon Wurrung elder and the indigenous designer have created a striking jumper, in my opinion.

Re: Indigenous Round guernsey
Take away the line art and melbourne's is far better than their actual jumper - should keep it.
Crows is a kids crayon art jumper, suns looks designed by kids, freo's is simply a mirror of last years, ours looks like a failed superhero costume, north's is a prison pyjama, and that eagle looks like no aboriginal art I've seen before. What the heck that magpie is doing on there I don't know - brand recognition for the dimmer pie fans? An when did Aslan become part of the dreaming? Geelong's? Drunken beer coaster scribble? Couldn't see too many of these selling - marketing fail.
