Spotted on eBay. I'm not the biggest fan. To be worn Round 11 v Collingwood.

Seen worse. Still, won't be buying one.
They could have just replaced the white panel with yellow.

Re: Indigenous Round guernsey
I may be wrong but I remember years back (maybe 04 or 05) we wore the red yellow and black jumper in heritage rd, as we used to wear it about 100 years ago but they changed back to red white and black due to something to do with WWI at that time? As i said i may be wron, im just going off something i read 10 years agoRosco wrote:Seen worse. Still, won't be buying one.

Have you got a link to the item?ds232323 wrote:Spotted on eBay. I'm not the biggest fan. To be worn Round 11 v Collingwood.
Ebay seems a strange place to announce a new jumper being worn. A quick search for st kilda jumper and this does not turn up.

Would having a yellow circle on a back drop of red and black (indigenous flag) be considered disrespectful? It seems an obvious one, unless there are cultural issues that dictate otherwise. The current design looks a bit messy colour wise. The pattern looks ok.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Marketing guys in overdrive. Seriously ugly.
If they'd had just the back design and the red and yellow arm bands it would have been quite tasteful.

I think the jumper looks great
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

I was thinking the same thing. Would be very popular. Unfortunately we probably wouldn't be allowed to.White Winmar wrote:Would having a yellow circle on a back drop of red and black (indigenous flag) be considered disrespectful? Re: Indigenous Round guernsey
That looks so hideous I'd be embarrassed to run out onto the ground wearing that as a player. Could the club at least employ some proper graphic designers? The blaze looks like the markings of an ugly serpent.
Why can't we just have our regular guernsey, but with yellow (instead of white) to make up the colours of the Aboriginal flag? Simple, yet EFFECTIVE.

The red yellow and black seems appropiate, but the red needs to be the earthy red on the aboriginal flag.

P.S. the guernsey is so bad, there needs to be an apology for it.

Re: Indigenous Round guernsey
Might be nitpicking unnecessarily here but the template for that image looks quite off with that of graphics released by clubs when releasing jumpers in recent years, and it's quite off compared to the actual ISC template for this year.
That said, it might be a mock up image the seller has made, and the jumper indeed looks like that.
We'd also be the only club in the competition though to have released their indigenous guernsey via an image like that made public (aside from Melbourne, but they have used a graphic which accurately reflects the New Balance template and sponsors logos: http://tinyurl.com/odnyllr).

Re: Indigenous Round guernsey
The Indigenous round jumper looks appalling. Why do we keep wearing a tie with these types of jumpers? We also wore a tie with the NZ jumper.
On a side note, are the pies wearing something different as well as they can't wear anything that's not part of their history (I wonder if they realize they used to wear the black stripe in the centre of the jumper in the old days instead of the white stripe they wear now).
