I wouldn't call Nick Riewoldt or Robert Harvey aggressive types… two of our greats.

Stanley looks to be still unsure of himself, who knows maybe he's just not that good. Running fast and being tall does not make you a good footballer… that said he's been okay this year overall, 4th in the comp for contested marks, equal 9th for total marks… I just don't think we should be expecting Wayne Carey.

Not sure if it was you Con that said that Rhys needs to be punched in the face to fire him up but there's not enough agro from him. If he tried influencing the game and just absolutely crashed a few packs or ran his opponent into the ground by repeat leads and demanding his team mates kick the footy to him he'd surprise himself.

Maybe Rhys needs what Saady took without the banned substances. Try a few nodose or a six pack of V mate.
Either take the game on Rhys and actually show some passion and some intensity....or just train for the Stawell Gift in 2015

I don't think anyone is expecting that, Dragit. Personally I'd settle for someone who would provide a credible alternative to Riewoldt. It looks like Rhys's teammates have decided he is not - at least when he's close to the goals.

Not necessarily, I'm sure Billings doesn't want to get in (a giant of the game) Riewoldt's way either.
Some guys don't have the anger gene, but they can still make good footballers - like Sean Dempster.

Dempster has fire in the belly. He just doesn't show it because he has nerves of steel. Nothing to do with having any "anger gene". If you're saying Rhys lacks aggression, then that doesn't bode well for an AFL footballer, does it?

You need to have balls of steel and have some grunt and urgency about you when you play for St Kilda.
They need to get angry and get mad and go out there and fight.
It's a battle and if you don't commit yourself and get pumped up and be willing to take the game on, then go play netball.

Sure, both are pretty mild mannered gentlemen off the field, but their attack on the ball would suggest they have had plenty of aggression when on the field.
