Is it just the rain and wet or does Acres look a bit slow? Maybe he needs to adjust to the AFL tempo (this is a slow game though).

Looked much faster to me in the first half. Was buggered after half time. But used his body quite well.
For a first gamer in a team being flogged, did ok all things considered.

It's funny, I think he and Hartung will always be linked.... Because of the swap of picks and they debuted on the same day

He is a tall mid, and it was bloody wet and the Hawks blitzed us. His debut was very promising considering he was up against it. He wouldnt have been expected to play a full game but due to Gearys injury he had to. Obviously AR wants games into kids, he is still just in his what, 5th game since surgery... great effort.
As for Hartung, yeah did well, but its not hard to run around witches hats in such a 1 sided match - conditions suited him to a t. I saw enough even today when Blake was up against it to confirm to me that he will be a superstar of the competition within 5 years.

Couldn't have picked a worse game to debut in. Terrible conditions, team got flogged. Taking everything into account he probably did as well as could be expected. Just need to leave him in the team for a few weeks.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

He hasn't got a left foot...one of his first few kicks he need to get around onto his right and he looked like the Titanic turning...

Has the same gate as Pendelbury and after today still think he will be our best pick up of the 3 we drafted ..
To compare to Hartung in any way is unfair as If he played with the Hawks today he would have killed it ...
Give him time ...

Seemed to go deep forward for the last quarter and a half, but still ended up with 15 possessions (8 contested), 3 clearances, 3 tackles. Not a bad start, certainly showed some promising signs for me.

Very promising signs on a shocking day for mine. He looks very much a Farren size but lopes around and reads the play beautifully - moves like BJ?

He seems a very cool cat. Never looks flustered. It can only be up from here Blake!

Couldn't have asked any more from him in his debut game. Getting flogged by that much and in a wet game he didn't look out of place. Look forward to watching his progress for the rest of the year.
