Hawks had 4 coast-to-coast goals against Richmond and caned them around the stoppages as well (7 goals). Their ability to link with foot is unquestioned.
Turnover wise Geelong did a number on them and also Richmond were respectable. Getting it off them can impact the scoreboard. They are so skilled by foot that if the chain breaks down, the opposition is a chance.
There is no doubt that ferocious tackling and upsetting their game plan of uncontested marks is the only way. That will require complete dedication to the contest aka the Essendon game.
Geelong had huge tackle number sin the F50 and apart from Hawkins dominating, we almost need to have a complimentary defensive small forward line that is fully accountable for the run off half back.
