I think Zac still probably plays with a lack of confidence and insecurity even though he has earned the right to play with his head held high.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Re: Dawson or Delaney?
Dawson fits in beautifully with Lyons obsessive zone cover system. Richo has confidence in Delaney's stopping ability to leave him one on one which frees up Gwilt, Geary, Bruce to push forward and cause turnovers. I think that gives us more attacking ability - saw it with Gears goals last week.

Who gives a Zac
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Dawson or Delaney?
Neither of them are any better than B grade defenders at best. Delaney seems a bit slower than Zac defending a lead, but maybe a tad better at one-on-one defending.

without Lyon Zac would not have gotten far... that system of defence makes him look a lot better than he is... when there no third floating over to help he gets unstuck... remember a few times in one ones he was really toweled up.Bluthy wrote:Dawson fits in beautifully with Lyons obsessive zone cover system. Now, I thought he was pretty good value down back during the GT era.

Re: Dawson or Delaney?
Both are negative close checking types who have very ordinary diposal .
nothing to say
Re: Dawson or Delaney?
Both GOP's. The problem with Dawson was he gave away far too many frees in front of goal when exposed 1v1. Perhaps recent free kick leniency has swayed my opinion on that though. Still, Dawson proven finals performer gotta go with him.

Delaney because Dawkson doesn't play for us anymore. On a side note Delaney plays and kicks a bit like Dawkson.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Re: Dawson or Delaney?
Hopefully Delaney will prove to be good against the bigger-bodied forwards - the ones we always seem to struggle against.
(If he fares well against them, I'd rate him way ahead of Dawson).

Re: Dawson or Delaney?
Luke Penny? Yeah he was solid in 2004... But he only played 30 or so games at StK
Both GOP full backs.... Both average with the footy, defend ok in their own way... Luke stronger, Zac good reach and pretty quick
Depend on the opponent
This week on Brown.... Delaney easily
On Buddy, I'd take Zac, however that could get ugly
