Schneider
All class. Great to see him out there. Beautiful kick. Think he may miss next week though. Not sure about his record. Pretty silly by him regardless.

Yep. If he has a record it may cost a week. I'm thinking he'll get off though.8856brother wrote:All class. Great to see him out there. Beautiful kick. Think he may miss next week though. Not sure about his record. Pretty silly by him regardless.
Pity injury so often catches up with him. He creates space as good as Dal does.

Started rusty, exploded in the second, in and out after HT
Love to know who his (non) opponent in the second?
One thing is for sure, if he touches it... A saints player will next... Generally in space

Started rusty - bt worked his way into and ended up really turning the game in our direction when it was on the line.

Re: Schneider
Very impressed with his game. Led the drive back in the second quarter and kept on going. Just hope he can stay injury free for the rest of the year.

Not long, but when your system is full of so many drugs strange reactions can occur. The MRP should take that into account.Griggsy wrote:Surely insufficient force to warrant a report. How long was the player down for.

Very unlucky if that is the case. looked below the contact required to make a charge. Stupid though and must of had carry over points surely. Still dont understand why players do these trhings with cameras on them.

Re: Schneider
This is what makes Schneider so incredibly valuable. Whenever he gets the footy, we're usually still in possession and closer to goal afterwards. It's why I'm a big fan of Schneider and why I don't rate Jones.BigMart wrote:One thing is for sure, if he touches it... A saints player will next... Generally in space

Re: Schneider
Adam Schneider, St Kilda, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence (125 demerit points, one-match sanction) for striking Mark Baguley, Essendon, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between St Kilda and Essendon played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday April 19, 2014.
In summary, due to his previous poor record, his one-match sanction must remain at one match, even with an early plea.
Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Essendon Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two Offence, drawing 125 demerit points and one-match sanction. He has a bad record of 93.75 demerit points carried over within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 218.75 points and a two-match sanction. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 164.06 demerit points and a one-match sanction.

Baguley should be booked for faking. Slowest reaction ever to a punch.

disappointing from a team leader
The intentional maybe because it was off the ball. I think they changed that so it had to be intentional. Im sure there are others who would know for sure though. But agree. Why would he even do it. Lenny has been reported a few times but not for what you would class as just stupid actions.

Re: Schneider
Glass nearly killed a bloke and got one week also. System working like a well oiled machine. Baker would have got 8 weeks for the Glass incident.

Re: Schneider
Medical report from Essendon? - surely they didn't report Baguley as having suffered some kind of injury/impact from that contest.SaintPav wrote:Adam Schneider, St Kilda, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence (125 demerit points, one-match sanction) for striking Mark Baguley, Essendon, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between St Kilda and Essendon played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday April 19, 2014.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Anyone see the tomahawks hit on Langford? Based on this precedent he will get 2-3 weeks

Re: Schneider
Given what has been let go this season with force below that required to constitute a striking charge it is another disgraceful assessment by the MRP. No doubt Schneider was silly but there is no way in hell that should attract a report. It makes the Gehrig hit on Cloke years ago look like a knockout punch.MRP wrote:Adam Schneider, St Kilda, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence (125 demerit points, one-match sanction) for striking Mark Baguley, Essendon, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between St Kilda and Essendon played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday April 19, 2014.

But, no doubt, our forum fool will leap to the defence of the AFL spouting about how hard done by we are as supporters and generally telling us all how to think!
And now he risks an extra week by fighting the spurious charge. Well played, MRP...Well played.
