Rhys' best game for the club
Good to see him one grab everything and provide an excellent 2nd ruck option.

Can't disagree with that.
I still think he can get better. But that was a very good performance today.

Absolutely! I've been a big doubter on Rhys but he was fantastic tonight. He presented so well up the ground and marked strongly. The perfect counter point to Roo tonight.

Re: Rhys' best game for the club
Been a massive critic. Starting to turn the corner. Without question his best 4 qtr effort tonight. Well done to him, deserves full credit. As does AR for settling him in a spot and backing him in. Exciting.

He's really starting to look like he belongs. Will be hugely important for us in years to come if he can keep building on this.

Took 13 marks, mostly over his head and with some contest. Can't recall him dropping any sitters. That's the difference.

Great game by Rhys, would love to see him use his explosive pace to his advantage though.
I'm hoping this game gives him some confidence.

he just has to grab it by the horns
been a fan for a while and think he has the potential
i jsut want to see him get a run on and back himself

I agree Milney. The game of AFL requires so much anaerobic running though. I reckon he gets knackered. Possibly needs to get fitter still.Milne wrote:Great game by Rhys, would love to see him use his explosive pace to his advantage though.

Top effort. Marks were sticking. No dropped ones. He will grow in confidence now.

Rhys - V.G O O D!
Consistently effective no make that inspiring. Tonight Rhys brought what he needed to make himself look like he'd been doing this for quite a while. Not just a few flash in the pan highlights but an inspired performance of of great team play and focus. When the majority of the team are playing as well they seemed to inspire each other all the more.
Really enjoyed Rhys's 4 quarters tonight.
WELL DONE RHYS!
GO SAINTS!

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

I've always thought Rhys is the key.
The forward line seemed to work better with just two talls.

Re: Rhys' best game for the club
Would that be the first time he has played 5 games in a row for our club?
Amazing what playing footy constantly does for confidence…
He needs to build from here, just be consistent, playing 2nd ruck keeps him involved as well...

Re: Rhys' best game for the club
agree with all of the above, had some big doubts after being impressed by him in his first few outings
great to see the marks sticking tonight, get that big boot on line and he'll be really dangerous!

Let's hope they settle him down now as a forward who rucks occasionally and he can grow in confidence.

Re: Rhys' best game for the club
Last few games and Rhys has started to show something. He could become a very, very important player for the club. I,d just about given up on him.
