Tired ?
Anyone else have the opinion we looked a tired side from first bounce today ?
1st,2nd,3rd year players just looked to me as if they need to be put out in the paddock for a few weeks, and freshen up
There was no spark from the likes of Eli ,Dunstan,Webster, etc as there has been first 3 weeks, this is to be expected with youth
IMO we need to include Lee,Billings,Bruce,Schneider,Fisher etc next few weeks to keep them fresh.Always expected a few bad result this year, but just looked so flat today
Armo didn't look to be 100% from the start for me
Maister? did Richo give him a run down back as a last go
Saunders has a real dip every time I have seen him, should be in starting side
Anyway expect some pain before the gain
THATS MY RANT AFTER A FEW VBs

Did you run 15kms at work... At full revs?
and get involved in 20 or thirty physical. Contests
It's a difficult 2 hours of work

Re: Tired ?
youre weird
why would you ask me if i ran 15 kms at work?
if i gave the team a spray or said they look disinterested today then i could see your odd attempt at baiting
but it didnt
i agreed and said yeah
they looked tired
and i expect more of it
ill explain why i think i and possibly others should expect more of it
half the side is new recruits with minimal games under their belts
they do not have the fitness, experience, knowledge, skill or decision making perfection yet
i thought that would be pretty obvious
especially to someone with as much footy knowledge as yourself
so me NOT running 15 kms today at work
doesnt really have anything to do with with the boys being tired today
prob returning from perth last week playing on a big ground and having a red hot crack for just over 3 qtrs 'might' have something to do with it tho

Re: Tired ?
defo. There's also that honeymoon phase with a new coach where anything seems possible and players play out of their skin to impress him and believe that the game plan is unbeatable if they only put in an herculean effort. Also new players who are playing in front of big crowds for the first time and running on adrenaline seem like unstoppable match winners. Then all of sudden the legs from 3 intense games and hard core training feel leaden, niggling injuries start taking affect and they realise there are another 20 games to go. Dunstan looked like a tired 18 year old today instead of the 30 year old veteran he looked in the first 3.

Re: Tired ?
Being professional footballers doesn't have any advantages then, is that what you are saying, they do 2 hours of work and 7 days later they are too tired to do another 2 hours of work.BigMart wrote:Did you run 15kms at work... At full revs?

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
Re: Tired ?
Saints and WCE got beaten by a combined 161 points this round.
Will be interesting to see how Essendon pull up after a hot flogging in WA today

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

I write this to a mate Friday.
"I reckon Adelaide will smack us, they've played patches of amazing football mixed with terrible stuff, we are traveling back from a brutal game in Perth. We are young, has the hallmarks of a flogging."

Re: Tired ?
The players definitely looked leg weary. Even Jones, who normally can run like a maniac all day looked to be labouring in the first part of the game. We just couldn't keep up with their run. Simple.

Re: Tired ?
Losing Wright early and Armitage for a half hour period was always going to end bad. Throw in Steven being underdone and it was a recipe for a flogging.

Re: Tired ?
100% agree with you Curly. A lot was left on the shoulders of our youngsters ably led by Roo, Dempster & Lenny. Adelaide were treating this as their make or break game for their season. If they'd failed they would have been in the proverbial.
We looked tired but that's to be expected. Onward and upward.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.
Re: Tired ?
It was a text to a mate who told me we would win, thought we were very unlikely. Would prefer I wasn't so right...
Don't post much on here because of the wankfest slanging match it has become.
