Don't you get a free upgrade halfway through the year anyway? If that's the case, if Lewis comes back, he will just be the upgrade anyway... Talking about Eli

Re: VFL Rd 2 - Sandringham Vs Box Hill
Mav Weller seems to be putting a strong case forward to be elevated off the rookie list. Cam Shenton is also doing well. With Wright out for a while, wonder what happens?

Markworth and Minch in 2's
What a joke. And that spencer played in it last week too
Billings obviously got ball a bit, but no goals where did he play?
Acres - where did he play?

Three goals five, so uncharacteristically poor kicking from him.saintsRrising wrote:Will be interested to learn how Lee went today..

But got enough of the ball, including seven marks, to suggest he'll come in for Maister. Not that it's going to help a lot against Essendon unless we somehow dominate the midfield

Re: VFL Rd 2 - Sandringham Vs Box Hill
as long as they put in where ever they are playing they will gain attention, surely they need to be playing and playing well at whatever level-falka wrote:Markworth and Minch in 2's
if they are able to impact the contest and help their team to win it is will advantage them.

We could really do with him back to his best with Wright, Gilbert & Fisher now missing.

Maister does a great impersonation of a statue on rollers
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

That may or may not be true - but why is it in this thread?magnifisaint wrote:Maister does a great impersonation of a statue on rollers

Re: VFL Rd 2 - Sandringham Vs Box Hill
sounds like a few players starting to put their hand up for a spot in the seniors.
Need to set ourselves for the win on Anzac Day. Id like to see Schneider, Billings, Lee and Simpkin get a game this week for Armo, Eli, Maister and Wright respectively. Eli probably a bit stiff, but perhaps one week in the VFL might just help him get his hands on the ball a bit more. Not sure how far away Hickey is but would prefer to hold him back another week rather than rush him back this week. Savage lucky to hold his spot, but may as well tell him that he has 2 games to start getting his hands on the ball consistently.
Murdoch & Sipposs are the concerns, although Brodie coming off an interrupted pre-season has a bit more of an excuse. Hopefully Seb can continue to improve.

And the Blake Acres VFL video from the weekend.
First game? Wow! One touch, smooth mover, seemingly loads of time.
