Re resting Eli. Two things. Firstly... why?
Secondly, remember that Eli only has another six-ish games left as the long term injury upgrade for Lew P, then it's back to the rookie list anyway, So I wouldn't wanna' see him rested just for the sake of rotating bloke thruogh to have a look at ''em. Only miss if if necessary IMHO...
Right, so my question re that. Assuming that Nat Wright isn't right for 8 weeks with a right (is it actually the right that isn't right?) fibula that (left or right) clearly isn't alright... how does it work if we end-up putting him (Wright) right straight onto the long term injury list?
Does whoever is upgraded (for Wright) have to be the nominated upgraded player to
right throughout the period that Nat isn't alright for? Or can we swap in and out various players from left (or even right) field to be that upgraded player, as long as we don't ever end up with more upgraded rookies than blokes who aren't right and so are on the long term injury list...? Coz the AFL mightn't think that was alright for us to do:?
It's all not quite sounding right to me. Wonder what our most recent past-president would make of it all?
