Yep..and reckon Bruce goes in. Delaney is lucky Gilbert is now injured. Thought Delaney made too many errors to keep his spot but with the Gilbert injury, that may save him.

Re: It's tommy time...
I know Beau has a role to play and crashing packs and luring multiple defenders away from Roo is amongst them, but in the end, as a forward, you have to be able to at least take a chest mark and kick some goals. Beau just can't seem to do the latter two. Time for Tommy Lee.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

People say he wasn't doing anything in the ressies because he hadn't done anything in the ressies.
Got a few weeks of match fitness into him.

Billings, Longer and Simpkin in.
Beau, Savage and Gilbo out.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

There were reports that he had flown over? Not sure though. Happy to see Lee in for Longer if need be.joffaboy wrote:Was Longer an emergency today?Buckets wrote:Billings, Longer and Simpkin in.

Billings after his display today is a monty to get back in the 22 and not just as an emergency IMO.

I don't understand the fascination with having two rucks who can't really play forward in the same side. How can Longer and Hickey possibly play together?Buckets wrote:Billings, Longer and Simpkin in.

They can both go forward and kick goals, unlike Beau who plays like a beau.bergholt wrote:I don't understand the fascination with having two rucks who can't really play forward in the same side. How can Longer and Hickey possibly play together?Buckets wrote:Billings, Longer and Simpkin in.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Would have thought that Hickey proved he could indeed play forward 2 weeks ago.

Re: It's tommy time...
Not much to lose in playing him, as long as he doesn't lose confidence if he is dropped again.
Re: It's tommy time...
He kicked two out of those three roaming forward from the ruck. That's completely different to being a permanent forward. Tonight he barely touched it when stationed inside 50.Buckets wrote:Would have thought that Hickey proved he could indeed play forward 2 weeks ago.bergholt wrote:I don't understand the fascination with having two rucks who can't really play forward in the same side. Yet to be convinced.
Re: It's tommy time...
I agree, every week I'm more and more convinced that he's not good enough. But I'm just not sure Lee can play the same role. He presented well for Sandy today but didn't exactly crash packs - generally kicks his goals after a lead and mark.SainterK wrote:I'm convinced beau isn't up to it berg...
But you're right, maybe Longer is worth a try as a big body down there.
Re: It's tommy time...
Hickey kicked all of his goals playing as a Ruckman...
Kicking goals as a Mid is nothing like playing forward.

Has he lied about his age? Looks about 40, plays that way too.SainterK wrote:I'm convinced beau isn't up to it berg...

Lee and Sippa were certainly enjoying themselves tonight at CQ, not sure either have the dedication.

Re: It's tommy time...
Lee has better goal kicking or finishing ability, but Beau gets to a lot more contests and crashes a lot more packs. We need Lee to work like Beau.
