Holmes is a ruckman, White isn't? What's so hard to understand?falka wrote:White in the 2's, but Holmes in the 1's?
White has played last 2 weeks in 1's, so it doesn't make much sense.
Just turned the game on and saw Ross miskick three times in a row. Boy's got some work to do.

Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
Did anyone else notice the boxhill Hawks development squad have this guy Mc Evoy who kicked 5 goals. Gee the trade looks better our way by the day when he can't get a game in the seconds even- unless they have two of them named Mc Evoy that is.
Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
Also Roberton missing simple kicks.. He just looks like he doesn't care and doesn't want to be there.bergholt wrote:Holmes is a ruckman, White isn't? What's so hard to understand?falka wrote:White in the 2's, but Holmes in the 1's?

I think that's Kerrin McEvoy, he's starting a long warm up for the Spring Carnival.gringo wrote:Did anyone else notice the boxhill Hawks development squad have this guy Mc Evoy who kicked 5 goals. Tom Lee is playing as the second ruckman and he is no ruckman..bergholt wrote:Holmes is a ruckman, White isn't? What's so hard to understand?falka wrote:White in the 2's, but Holmes in the 1's?

Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
In football today, the 2nd ruckman is often a key position, or mobile type, player who just gives the No 1 Ruck a break rather than dedicated ruckman. ie Leigh Brown....Stanley....or our own BlakeyLTN16 wrote:Tom Lee is playing as the second ruckman and he is no ruckman..bergholt wrote:Holmes is a ruckman, White isn't? Frankston Coach on Roberton as part of his quarter time address to his players.
If Roberton gets it just force him wide and he will turn it over

Right. We don't have another ruckman who can play, so one of them has to fill in. I still don't understand what the question is.LTN16 wrote:Tom Lee is playing as the second ruckman and he is no ruckman..bergholt wrote:Holmes is a ruckman, White isn't? Good period to start the second term. Milera passes to Lee for the first, Weller from outside 50 for the second, Siposs and Bennett did well to Dennis-Lane for the third. Sandy in the lead. Siposs a set shot right now.
Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
Milera from a free kick for the fourth, Sandy 38 Frankston 30. One way traffic at the moment.
Negatives:
- Siposs has already missed two set shots that I've seen
- Markworth has made a couple of mistakes
- Bruce just gave away a stupid 50 against Haretuku

Yeah that's right we gave up pick 12 for just Tom Lee
Commentators have got no idea!

Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
Lee 3 for the quarter, Milera very lively up forward, he's too good for this level.
Holmes actually not too bad in the ruck against Russ Gabriel who can play a bit.
Siposs getting a lot of the footy around the ground but not hugely damaging.

These commentators are so yit. If I hear Lee for just 12 again I'm gonna kill someone
Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
Good quarter for Sandy though they probably needed another one or two to really make the most of the wind. 8.2 to 2.4, now 18 points up.

Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
The continuous bombing out of the backline was terrible, pretty lucky Frankston missed most of their opportunities.
Lee needs to play in the ones, Milera is pushing too.
TDL is in his element at VFL level, very good, not sure if it translates to AFL though unfortunately.
Markworth needs to get his hands on the ball, floating around in no-mans land ATM.
Siposs is working hard, has just lost his big weapon - goal kicking.
Can't see Shenton making it.
Bruce is trying hard but a way off still.
Roberton needs a holiday or something.

Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
I thought most of saints listed players disposal was very average !
Frankston looked much bettter in there ball movement , lets hope we have a big 3rd quarter effort and hold the lead going into the last .

Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
Roberton has just had five months off - if he needs a holiday we're in trouble. Second year blues?
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.
Re: VFL - Rd 1, Sandringham vs Frankston
Holmes has a nice leap - will be an OK ruckman when he learns the game
Billings looks all class with the ball, disposal a bit sloppy
Markworth moves nicely, a bit rusty, but I like the way he moves.
Lee, doing his job, beautiful kick of the football
TDL and Milera look a class above VFL but a bit below AFL
SIpposs doing some nice work in Qtr2
Roberton looking underdone but getting the pill. Turning it over though.
Bruce - unless he gets rid of the idiotic Hipster beard and hair, never to get a game until this happens - or delist. Hipster tryhard

Lance or James??

I thought he looked OK, he's a big strong guy and could come in very handy. That said, he's made some mistakes and definitely needs to improve his discipline and workrate.dragit wrote:Bruce is trying hard but a way off still.

Great goal from Billings, into the wind from 45 deep in the pocket on the run. Good skills from the kid.
