You amaze me Stinger. i could understand these comments if it came from Gringo or Skeptic but from you. In ruck terms, hickey was well beaten... In midfielder terms Hickey was great

Well said, Buckets - good move (I agree with Stinger and Skeptic, et al, on this).
Baiting/bullying is not on.

Taking arguments/points and twisting/distorting them out of all proportion, to the point where they no longer resemble what was originally said - just to belittle the person you're not agreeing with or losing an argument against , is baiting - and it should be stopped.

We all enjoy robust but mature/civil discussion.

This may be counter-intuitive to the bullies, but ..
If we can't express opinions on here, have the courage to say things that with the fullness of time may prove wrong, and we may end up wearing egg on our faces ... isn't that also sterilizing the forum.

We are all sainters here.

P.S. (IMHO)..
I believe some posters are continually finding faults with the club and our players, etc., to the point of whining (and even making themselves targets of the bullies) - and maybe it's time for them to pull their heads in too (as they'll be doing themselves a big favour) - they should say what they need to say once or twice, then move on.

Mumford is a good (established) ruckman, we all knew that - but so is Hickey, who had the same hitouts to advantage (despite the hitout numbers).
We won the team clearances.
Hickey is a young ruckman - and as such, he has more value than Mumford.

Hickey was a better midfielder and forward.

Hickey was more effective and accurate with his hitouts - I wonder how many of Mumford's hitouts (the 35 or so that weren't to his team's advantage) were "hitouts to disadvantage"(this potentially revealing and damning stat is long overdue).
Hit out numbers mean nothing (it needs to be further analysed).
