Hard to believe that a 140 year old club could go winless but if we lose the first two it is seriously possible this year .

Sadly I cant see us winning a game this year.
Thanks for the laughs guys.
Macquarie Dictionary Word of the Year for 2023 "Kosi Lives"
Last night was a win from a game where I believed we had a chance.
Actually believe we are a chance next week despite GWS's good start.
The truth that we have all accepted is that we are not confident for any game this year and we may just finish last, so be it.
But last night we saw glimpses of a bright future, a very bright future. We wont see it every week, these are kids and their performances will be inconsistent, one week good, next week can't get a kick.
It is going to be interesting how they manage them, even Dunstan, I suspect he will be rested every now and then so as not to ask too much of his body.
For me, if we can win 5 games this year, I will very happy, and the good news, we only need to win 4 more for that target and we have a whole season in front of us.
I must say on paper we have the least talented list but we've got some young kids with great attitudes and a cuppla legends not ready to throw in the towel.
Before last night I was thinking we may win 2-4 games after last night 8 wins is not out of the question with a good fixture.

Okay you guys are getting a bit carried away now. It was only poor old Melbourne we beat you know.
Now, don't get me wrong, I hope we win all our games but realistically it will be hard work for us not to finish on the bottom this year. I hope I'm wrong but we will be lucky to get anywhere near 5 wins.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
Don't kid yourselves that GWS will come down here and beat us at Etihad. Won't happen. It takes a long time for good sides to start to win interstate. They got Sydney when they were at their most vulnerable. Good luck to them. But St Kilda will set themselves to win this week at all costs. This is a must win for us.
They were celebrating like it was 1999 from what I could see. Think it will be close though, but we'll win.
Who cares. If we win, great, if we don't so what.
As long as we BUILD.
We've basically demolished half our house.
The solid Reiwoldt and Hayes foundations remain
and from this base we can build our future side.
I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.
Nothing wrong with making a call that's wrong.
Just admit u got it wrong and move on.
Sadly if Stanley doesn't pull some consistency out the bag soon I'm going to have to call I got that one wrong.
Still think he has potential.
Not sure if he has any confidence tho

Thought Roos would be a bad option for them. He didn't really want to coach again and said he would mentor the coach -in-waiting for a year, maybe two. This has a real Malcolm (the messiah) Blight feel to it.
If they get whipped by GWS next week we will all know a lot more about Melbourne. I have a suspicion that they will become the new Richmond -awful team, who eventually become mediocre ninth for a generation. Reckon thry might be the first team we win 20 games in a row against.
As the top sticky says, belittling other posters because they made calls is not on.
Too many threads start as a look at me situation hey Kosi?
Lance or James??

This is look at them, not look at me.
