Re: Armo
Was really good today and was singled out by the coach post match for social praise. In particular, all the things his does outside of the standard indicators. Coaches loves him and I can understand why. Hard, tough, relentless, gives everything he has and more, makes life easier for every other team mate

He needs to back it up week after week.
With Jackie out it's his best chance.

Re: Armo
Easier said than done. The amount of battering that he has taken for the team in the last two weeks is extreme. Ideally, he should be rested for next week, especially given the size of the ground on which we are playing. But I'm sure he would be the last to suggest that.

I know it may seem trivial, but I think the hair is really symbolic.
He's cut out the stupid coiff, gone lean and mean and taken on the responsibilities of leadership.
I'm proud of him.

Its a real issue if a player needed a rest after only 2 games of footy. Lenny has done it for 15 years without a rest, im sure Armo can it as well.

Re: Armo
His mark in the 1st quarter is an early contendor for mark of the year. And he kicked a goal from that mark. Great to see our mids hit the scoreboard.

Re: Armo
So far, he has certainly lifted from last year- a tough nut. Let's hope that he can keep it going - we need him a lot right now, without Jack being there.

Re: Armo
Tough and hardworking, great bloke to have as your number 5 or 6 midfielder.
Unfortunately for him and us he is going to have to play as our number 1,2 or 3 unless one of the young blokes jumps out suddenly.

Re: Armo
He is exactly what we need along side the kids. Nathan Jones was intent on using his body to intimidate our kids- Armo had him looking over his shoulder instead.

Re: Armo
All we need now is a couple of quick, outside carriers. Jack coming back will help and if Savage can lift, our midfield will start to look pretty decent. One more draft should complete the picture, given we already have potential mids in Ross, Markworth, Acres, Murdoch and Billings on the list. Even if only a couple of those become effective regulars, things will look good. Now if only we could snatch another Riewoldt from somewhere!
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Re: Armo
Some were suggesting we trade him I'm thinking more along the lines of making him our next captain after Roo decides its time. Leads by example not flashy just hard and relentless.
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.
