Milera? Surely you're taking the pi55. If Webster is fit he is straight back in for Savage. Wait to see the recap of the sandy game to see if there are any others that deserve to get in

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Changes for Round 3 v West Coast
We might see Billy Longer next week. With a foot injury, it would be a tough ask to get Hickey to take both Cox and Niknat on with Stanley.
As for their forwards, Bruce may see some action as his height was missed at times today (can you miss something that was never there?).
I would love to see Webster and Markworth get a game though.

In: Longer, webster, bruce
Out: hickey(Stanley), savage roberton
If hickeys foot is not great then rest him and send longer. If not maybe Stanley. Bruce comes in, gilbert moved up the field and savage dropped to find form. Kicking was too rushed and his gut running isn't there yet. robbo dropped for webster if fit.
Maybe make eli sub as he seems to be making a impact late. Save markworths debut for rd 4 IMO

Bruce would be competing with Delaney for a spot. Delaney keeps his spot on today's performance !!Rosco wrote:Agree, good time for a look at bruce

AR please move Geary back to defence he is really struggling since being thrown thru the midfield.
SAINTS another day older another day closer to the Holy Grail!
Re: Changes for Round 3 v West Coast
Don't reckon Geary is struggling cause of position
Started on the bench last two weeks, and doesn't have his normal run.

Bench doesnt mean a thing unless you are sub. they all play pretty much the same amount of time.

Agree with you SainterK ....he really seems to be not quite fit/right...... doesn't seem to have power in his run at the moment. Can't question his endeavour tho.SainterK wrote:Don't reckon Geary is struggling cause of position

He normally plays most of a match...only 80% tog last 2 weeks, that's low for him I think?
Was watching him, it's not fitness it's something making him not so free to run

That is pretty much the normal time for all mids in the AFL.
Re: Changes for Round 3 v West Coast
rhys should get ay least the first 6 games...make or break for him this year......i reckon that a fit stanley is a necessity for the team

Re: Changes for Round 3 v West Coast
Did his hammy last time he played against the Eagles on Subi. Nic Nat pushed him in the back as he kicked the ball and ping......... Rhys gone for most of the season.stinger wrote:rhys should get ay least the first 6 games...make or break for him this year......i reckon that a fit stanley is a necessity for the team
Subi ground very hard for players who have histories of hammy and calf injuries over the years.

In saying that, I thought he hurt himself the praccy match before the season.
Could be one of those can play, but will take time injuries

"K" I reckon you're a good judge. I'm going with your tip. Only proviso if Fisher is fit then he replaces Gwilt as well.SainterK wrote:Out Stanley Roberton
In Longer Webster (missed his smarts)
Give James a spell and he'll come back for the better.
We need Longer and Hickey over there in the west. Longer's leap might help counter NicNat's and give Hickey a spell.
Stanley as well could give us the edge in the ruck.
I'm hoping to start seeing something from him soon.

Hindsight hero would say Bruce should have played instead of Roberton this week

Re: Changes for Round 3 v West Coast
Stanley won't get dropped, he played reasonably well again today.
Outs:
Roberton
Savage
Ins:
Simpkin
Markworth
They won't risk Webster at Subi
