Beau will have a day or number of days where the ball is delivered to him in such a way where he holds a stack and kicks 8 or 10.

An old looking boy.

I think it's possible he could. That is when he plays VFL level for Sandringham.

Beau Maister, The Pro Waster
Debunk the call he's an integral man
Couldn't clunk a ball even with an extra hand

.....

On a serious note, though.. bronx cheers are just shiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

An absolute blight on the game last week.

He dominates the VFL and more so at WAFL level

Please don't call him a s*** footballer?

Any bloke who gets a state league senior game can play.... Any bloke who dominates at that level and plays AFL can seriously play!!!

Put it this way
If he played suburban or Ammo footy... He would dominate the competition and then some! He would kick a ton without too much trouble....

Why would St Kilda want to waste time on someone who dominates the ammos? Surely we're looking for players who are good at AFL level.

We could ask to be relegated to the amos while we rebuild?

Because StK want players who can play above state league standard...

Not sure you can have 44 blokes who are 'good' at AFL level

List composition requires GOPs

and Beau's story....
http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-pre ... 6867797138
Last season he missed 15 games through a combination of hamstring and wrist injuries, strengthening his resolve to play a more prominent role in 2014. He took to heart some advice from former St Kilda teammate Jason Blake, a respected no-frills footballer who eked out an admirable 219-game career.

“Being the ultra-professional that he was, he spoke to me about the best form of injury prevention being to have a full pre-season, so that you’ve got the conditioning under your belt,’’ Maister said.

Even fit and raring to go, Maister will face a challenge to hold down a regular starting berth as a tall forward, with competition from the likes of Nick Riewoldt, Rhys Stanley, Tom Lee, a resting ruckman and perhaps youngster Spencer White. One area that gives him an edge is his blue-collar physical style.

“I see myself in a good space,’’ Maister said. You get out of the future what you put in, and the hardier you work the luckier you get. I really believe that’s what the club needs to do to move forward; everyone understand their role and do it to the best of their ability. Do what’s asked of you, concentrate on those basics.’’

Beau is a big body taking the hits until the younger guys (hopefully) develop.
I wish he'd hold a few more marks, but at least he never looks like he's coasting.

I hope he kicks a couple this week.

If he holds a mark inside 50 it will be a miracle, still dropping easy ones

The difference between a solid game and a poor game are those relatively easy marks that he has a habit of putting down. The bronx cheers are uncalled for though. Such a shame as he busts a gut.

Agree, but he was handy to have both this week and last.

True, but Lee just isn't physical enough at this point, at least not to play down there along side Stanley. If Rhys starts to play a bit more like Tarzan - and today was a tiny step in that direction - then I'd be more happy to have Lee beside him.

The frustrating thing about him is that he does the hard stuff well - gets into position where he can take a clear mark without any danger of it being knocked away - but can't do the easy bit - hold the ball. No doubt, he feels the same frustration.
