He did what he did for StK.... Got on the end of the play and kicked a couple of TO goals...
He got 13 touches... Had 8 at three qtr time.. In a team that was belting the WB
He is 4th year as a high draft pick.... I actually think he is going to eek out a reasonable career, perhaps 100 games?
But what I didn't like
Was him pulling out of two contests in one game at Frankston oval, fact is he took short steps.....only metres from me. There is no excuse for that, for an elite footballer? It's not an age thing, it's not a confidence thing, a compartment injury thing, a die eyes thing... None of these enter your mind in the split second when the ball spills in your direction... It's just an innate thing a footballer does, and that's take his turn when he has to and put his nose over the Sherrin!
Tom Curran, Nate Wright, Arryn Siposs or any other elite kid just goes, doesn't ever hesitate, doesn't ever deviate, it doesn't even enter their mind... To do anything other than try to win the footy!!
Kids who do think, hesitate or deviate/shirk often get found out, or they never reach their skill potential
This area of footy - hardness
Will always be an issue for Jamie.... And it will have to be an area he works on improving IMO
Good luck to him
Yep that was 3 years ago. Hunt has pulled out a few times in his career and has had a very good career. Anyway its only your opinion he pulled out. maybe you got it wrong. You know sometimes people dont see things properly. Anyway he has had a pretty good AFL career even if it ended tomorrow which it wont. WCE must think he can play. Only missed 7 games so far and was injured in 4 of them.
In the FC interview Roo himself talked about the management of his body/knee. He went through a typical week these days and how he is feeling good since his surgery, rehab, recovery and management
Which is a whole lot better than 2011... Statistically his worse season for while at that point in time?

He was struggling a little
Like a true champion he lifted and came back
Winmar in 1996
Harves did it in 2003
Hayes did in in 2012
So?
Did he say his body is stuffed now and he moved like a super-rules player in 2012?
He indicated he knee is rooted and it will eventually give way. And the lengths he goes to managing it.
Let's face it, he was moving terribly in 2011... He was struggling to even have an impact on a consistent basis.... He could not bend, or turn with fluency.... He looked like he was struggling.
It was stated clearly, he should NOT have played in the 2010 GF and wouldn't have in a HA game
Not having a go but are you suggesting Aaron Sipposs puts his head over the ball?
I always thought that this was one of the things holding him back. I might be wrong but whenever I watch him play -- which admittedly is relatively not much -- he seems to stand out of contests or be second and third in. Anyway just surprised to see you group him with the hard nuts Curran and Wright.

His knee hampered him

Is the story that Roo shouldn't have played in the 09 GF as he tore his groin at training in the lead up true? I recall reading that somewhere.
Arryn Siposs is slowish and lacks running power...
But I can assure you, he does NOT hesitate or deviate from the footy.... He is a ball player (not a hard player) and one of the reasons he is so clean overhead or on the ground, is because he never loses focus on the footy.
He has courage in spades, often plays bigger than his actual size.
His lack of physicality, is not due to courage... But a general lack of fitness and strength.
