tapping into the local asian market cbd/docklands
As many know there are plenty of Asians mainly Chinese/Indonesians moving into the area.
Be great to market to them to follow the Saints.
Also be great to have some more Asian food or any Asian food on level 3.
It's a huge potential market at our grounds door step

Bring as much of the food as they like but keep the Vuvuzelas at home.bergholt wrote:And the Africans, it'd be great to have some injera while watching the footy.

Interesting that you mention that saintspremiers we had 3 asians sitting in front of us, decked out in saints gear.
Dont think they had any idea what was going on, in terms of the game, but they lived local and adopted us as their team.
Saints should do a fair bit of promotional and give aways in the area

Whilst some my laugh at the food offerings it is relevant.
I saw a group of about 20 predominantly Asians leaving the game at the 6 minute mark of the last term. It's a strange game for them, so that's why they need be made welcome in a different way.

Saintspremiers- call a guy called Rory Sackville at the club, he's part of the "fan development team" at the club and tell him about it.
It really is a great idea!!
Club won't improve unless we as fans get of our backsides and do something about it. After all it is our club. Lets know how you go

Have many asian friends, they all hate AFL. Mostly into more world sports ie soccer and tennis.
They also love a discount, at these prices for general admission there is no hope.

Maybe just saying from my experience, not one of any asian person i have worked with or know like Afl.
Maybe the club could work with local real estate agents and give seasons tickets in exchange for cash and advertising the local agents
They could give these to potential buyers or renters in the area, and hopefully get them hooked

Quite a number of Asians in StKilda colours on the Moorabbin wing side of the ground.
Definitely a potential market.

Hey CM, next time you're down in Melbs' taking a break from the sauna... Afghan Gallery in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. (A bit north of Johnson, left hand side as you are heading north outta' town.) Ask to eat upstairs.Cairnsman wrote:We should have a grab for the Afghan market as well, I hear their food is exquisite.

Pai Gow and Blackjack tables too!
If Docklands has enough space for a prayer room a mini casino is not out of the question?
