Re: Changes?
Two definite changes for Lenny and Joey, and possibly a third if Schneider is fit.
Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Was there an issue with Jimmy?
Probably that superb chase he put on vs 2 demons
Re: Changes?
Maister - Lee
Billings - Lenny
Webster (injured?, if not he keeps his spot and someone else must make way for Monty) - Montagna
Roberton and Savage get a lucky break, but both had shockers, if there's another repeat from Roberton, I'd play Simpkin instead.

Re: Changes?
No one to replace Maister if we want to keep the same structure. He was playing on Frawley by the way.

Maister may go but surely its for a tall. Billings will probably go as well as another runner.

Longer or Lee. i wouldnt make the change at all but just saying wouldnt that be the only way he would get replaced.

Re: Changes?
In: Hayes Montagna
Out: Webster (inj) Billings
(Savage on notice and Markworth ready to come into the side)
I think Maister can only be replaced by Lee for structure reasons and Lees form doesn't warrant selection.
The alternative is bring in Longer and play Stanley as a permanent fwd but I don't think that will work.
So Maister stays in.

Re: Changes?
I'd like to keep Billings, possibly off the bench again.
Webster possibly makes way with injury.
Maister should be replaced, perhaps by Lee or Longer.
Eli Templeton may be rested.

Fish has played forward before...
Could he play on shaw?
Geary isn't right ether, struggled to run last night.

Re: Changes?
Interesting. It's not his best position, that much is obvious, but if he can be covered down back and he can perform better than Maister, then it seems logical.SainterK wrote:Fish has played forward before...

Re: Changes?
We may need another key defender to combat Patton and Cameron and possibly Boyd.

The ins are easy, Lenny and Joey. The outs are much trickier because we went OK:
- Webster: if he's injured then he makes the call easier.
- Maister: can't be dropped unless we can find another tall.
- Billings: could maybe use a full game so it might make sense to drop him back to Sandy.
- Templeton: the coach talked him up so seems unlikely.
- Savage: surprisingly poor but surely deserves an opportunity to redeem himself.
- Geary: was well beaten and K thinks he may be injured?
That's about it, everyone else was solid or better.

Re: Changes?
For a team that has been kicked around in the media and written off...we WON... and you don't drop players from winning teams unless they had stinkers of a game, or you need to balance the team better for the next game. I would say Billing goes out for Montagna and maybe Maister for Lenny..maybe.

1. You're doubtful whether Lenny should come back in the side?spert wrote:For a team that has been kicked around in the media and written off...we WON... and you don't drop players from winning teams unless they had stinkers of a game, or you need to balance the team better for the next game. 2. You'd swap a tall forward for a midfield when the balance is good?
Laughable

Re: Changes?
Yes noticed that with Geary too SainterK, also he had difficulty trying to stick tackles, which was most un-Geary like, and he didn't chase.SainterK wrote:Fish has played forward before...

Noticed he couldn't run and spread, yet he didn't seem to be physically injured...... I was wondering if he had a cold - breathing difficulty or something.
