That's actually a very good advert

It's two minutes long though. Where can you show a two minute ad? And how much would that cost?

I didn't know Tex was a supporter, his velvet voice adds so much impact to the narrative...big fan of the Tex. We are certainly blessed with some really cool and hip high profile supporters. There's probably a marketing campaign in that fact alone.

How many other clubs put thier adverts on TV. I don't think too many. They're more for showing at the grounds.

Yes yes is hear the "we could do x with that cash" infact I hear that about any marketing a lot!

I just the shame is the majority (who aren't Facebook users) won't see such a great advert hence the Lindsay plea!!

I've started emailing everyone I know with this ad - need to get a SS guerrilla marketing campaign out there (plugger/stinger just print off and distribute hard copy if emailing is a tad 'out there').

what "majority" arent facebook users ?? my 89 year old grandmother has seen this ad already ... any why would Lindsay want to blow money on showing a saints advert on prime time TV for that $ he could advertise his own business interests and make money for himself ... just because they are rich doesnt mean they like to just throw money away

But the way the club treats its members is disgraceful
For the L2 members (ultimate membership) to lose the Robert Harvey room and be given a room hidden behind the goals is the not on
The Robert Harvey room has been the given to the members with great fanfare and taken away with a little note in the members booklet
A room behind the goals , small viewing area and no toilets
They will lose members next year unless this situation is rectified and quickly
4 memberships worth over $2500 dollars will be cancelled and judging by the mood on the night a lot more than us will not be renewing
This was a sneaky underhand move made by a club struggling for memberships and not renowned for treating members with respect
Get it right, flashy ads don't cut it when the club treats you like $hit

It is and one of us has contacted the club,, Apparently they have received a lot of calls and are looking into it
The mood on the night was hostile and the poor girl that took the flak was visibly shaken by the criticism (her name may have been Lisa)

Maybe you should have helped her out? It obviously wasn't her fault. I hate it when people take out their anger on an innocent employee.

Not totally innocent as she was the one who sent out text messages to all members involved 3 hours or so before the start of the game, and admitted that the whole issue had been handled badly, The club has since issued an email stating as much, At no time was she physically intimitated. The anger was more directed at the club
People on the night were upset and as a representaive of the club she was there to defend the decision.
Where the club fell down was in failing to recognise the feeling that their decision to change what had been in place for years: would cause.
There was no consultation, and poor communication with members and people were quite rightly upset
The "genius" who came up with this idea should have been there to answer questions.

Agree on all of that. If you're going to make a call like that, at least show up to defend it.
