So we're moving back to Moorabin?

OR
does "by 2020" mean before we reach 2020 which means 2019 which means I only have to live another five and a half years?

The whole document reminds me of some of the resumes I regularly have to go through.
Occasionally an applicant lives up to the hype in their resume.
Let's hope most of the aims in this document are achieved, heaven knows we have waited long enough!

2020 s a fair way off. I would like to think they'd be challenging way before that.

They said they expect to be a top 4 club challenging for the flag by 2018. Summers said we'd have a second flag by 2020.

Was a top night anyway. Well run. The new players all seem like nice young blokes and made an effort (as they all did) to interact with the supporters.
Spoke to Terry Dillon who seems quite driven to build the club from 'St Kilda to Seaford, from Port Melbourne to Portsea' and told me that this would work because they have 'allocated four resources to make it work rather than being in survival mode' and hoping for it to happen.

And the (I thought unambitious) aim of 50K members by 2018 was to be supplemented by another 10K NZ members. So 60K all up.

Was a very good night. Markworth was the first speaker telling 'his story'. Presented well.

Summers, Dillon, Roo and Richo spoke...

Kosi, Blakey & Milney handed out the jumpers.

Food excellent with ample refreshments. All in all an enjoyable night.

All these plans to own the bayside will come to nothing unless people sign up as members.
Do it before we become another fitzroy.

I hope it works..If you choose to be so explicit about your goals you need to make sure that you achieve them because if you don't the sense of failure is magnified. I'm not sure we can afford to fail now . This could prove to be the last chance. Eggs in basket???

Yep sure is. But they need to try something.

The past admin certainly didn't. They had no idea.

Was Finnis present at the launch?

I'm curious as to how we'll have 60K members globally by 2018, given 2017 is probably the very earliest we can expect to make the finals again.

Owning the Bayside is St. Kilda. Neglecting it as has been done
is criminal.

Are the Westies offended that Spotswood to Altona have been ignored? There are beaches out that way also I've heard

no but I think you will find we will do more there. My guess is there will be training sessions there as we expand presence on bayside.

Yes Finnis was there. Didn't present anything which is fair enough but was there with his wife.

At least they're doing something, getting it out there. Compared to the previous train wreck invisible administration that had zero ambition, merely exsisted day to day

What did Marworth have to say?

Caro thought last season he was going to be our next big thing until injury stuffed his season.

One thing I have learnt over the years is that you cannot expect a different reslt if you keep doing things the same way.

Successful organizations have a clear plan and path way to get there, it does not guarantee success but without these things you will never truly obtain sustainable success.

Full credit to Summers the board and executive team they have a plan now they need to do something that ST Kilda has failed at over the years and that is to stick to the plan and work as a team.

I am rapt to be hearing that there is a strategic direction in place a lot better than going through the motions and accepting what has been dished up and mediocrity.

A plan with a stable board and administration are the cornerstones of success, and of course some luck along the way.

Spoke about getting drafted. Wanting to be part of the Saints of 2008-2010. The journey through injury. Hunger to play and to do something special with Newnes, Curren etc.

He spoke well.

Agree totally with you Doc and Junior, since Westaway has been whisked away the place has looked a lot better.

Getting on the front foot and doing something creates memberships in it's self. I was sucked in at about 19 years old when they had an SOS campaign and I thought it was time to pay up. Only missed a few years since then as I had to pay for different things in my life but overall that campaign has earned them all that money from me and I had a few members I have signed up over the years- the last 4 years we have been getting family memberships too. I have about 5 people who immigrated to Australia that I have convinced to become members and they have now got families too signed up. I starts growing from the initial effort I guess is my point.
