D gone . Implications for saints?
With the boss going at the end of the year I was hoping this could be a good thing for the saints. Hopefully we ll see a system that allows the saints to make some money. . The purchase straight away of edihad instead of waiting Another ten years. A fairer fixture for big games.
Unfortunately it's too late re gws and Gold Coast playing list. They will be peaking when we're getting better which is bad timing.
If g McLaughlin gets the job he's a saints man so hopefully he would look after us.

The next guy might be worse, he might only want 8 Victorian sides.
Hopefully GWS and GCS peak in the 2016-2020 period then fade… We haven't even drafted the stars yet for our next tilt so we are plenty of years off.

Re: D gone . Implications for saints?
Good riddance.
Too many issues under his watch. Salary cap rorting, tanking, systematic doping and whispers in the sky, FIXturing to maximise his own bonuses plus many more.
He also gave everything to GWS and GC in which after 10years would still be lucky to have a supporter base. Should have been NT and TAS. At least they are football states.
Anyway, go somewhere else and push their dirty laundry under the carpet like you do so well.

He had recently warned tenant clubs if the league took control of the stadium it would not necessarily mean better returns,
for the AFL could use the money generated from hosting matches to repay debt.

Debt?
The debt is caused by pouring millions into Gold Coast and GWS.
This added to the draft concessions mean that lifetime supporters of foundation clubs may not see a premiership in their lifetime.
I have stalled renewing my Fox Footy subscription.
The greed of the AFL commission will only increase the apathy of the normally locked in fans.
!@#$ the new supporters in NSW & QLD........
LOOK AFTER YOUR HEARTLANDS AFL!

Hes announced he's going so its up to us ths doggies and north to hound Gilligan about this massive issue.
What about how AD shafted our fixture back in 06 due GT having a disagreement with Vlad.
Hopefully the new boss will have some morals.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Yep hopefully they get some like previous CEO who have either merged, folded or attemped to merge clubs. lets face it, it wont matter who is in charge you will find faults. That is what you do. AD made a few mistakes but keeping all Victorian clubs isnt one of them. Hopefully the next guy feels the same way because we are likely to have the lowest Victorian membership for the next 2 to 3 years and thats when TV rights are up again.

Re: D gone . Implications for saints?
The equalisation solution or the fair' dinkum solution may or may not be at front of mind for the new guy but as a club we have to keep letting them - afl know our pain . Having a good united front with the dogs and roos on this matter is probably a very important policy for our club heading into the future.
We are still alive but not exactly thrieving. Our club need to keep encouraging the afl to fix the current problem. Not a time for sitting on our hands.
It's a new era now and the afl might just get a move on in the right direction - i'm hopeful

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Pretty bad time to be bottoming out IMO.
New CEO will come in with new ideas...That's how they will get the job.
Propping up cabbage clubs like St.Kilda may not be a high priority.

"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....
