Post of the day!
PS: It's still February, so this March thing is surely a joke... how many Richmond-style dud five year plans would he bring with him? A definite 'no way' from me!
It's Dave, man. Will you open up? I got the stuff with me! -------Who?

Yep! mine too. It would be the perfect opportunity and agree the leaking looks unprofessional but then again it could also be a ploy to push poll the potential candidates...Buckets wrote:My thoughts exactly. There is a strong rumour that Gary March ex Rich pres is the man.
That is only a rumour however.

+1.................. if anyone had any loyalty to the Saints and not wanting Saints to look a shambles in the way the Board conducts its business, why would one leak such info on an internet site?

Wasn't Greg Swann meant to be the one a few weeks back? This shotgun approach to breaking news is very, very ordinary. I've got a tip for a few people. If you have to choose between being first and being accurate, be accurate.
Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

Maybe AD wanted AA to be our CEO but it didn't come off.
If no one can run our club properly then the AFL will ala Melbourne.

Re: New CEO
At the AGM Peter Summers suggested that we were at the "pointy end" of the process. I guess we'll all know when it is announced (I suspect this will be sooner rather than later) !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

AA was hopeless at the AFL, I don't want him in my club. Then again our board is half hopeless anyway so he could fit right in!

They also indicated some time back we would have a new sponsor -- still waiting.

Re: New CEO
So can we stick to facts ?
1. Are we getting a new CEO before the season starts or at all ?
2 . Is the Gary March rumour legit or total bs?

As for my post, it's almost a comedy routine. The known candidates/leaks of Swann, Anderson, GrumpyOne & now March. Not overly endowed with willing candidates are we? Anyone remember the last time we had to talk someone into taking a major job at the club? Mr Blight anyone? How well did that turn out? I hope we find the right candidate who is WILLING and not ENTICED into the job.

Good point however there is a strong smell of the board not rushing this one coupled with a shortage of good candidates.
Re: New CEO
It could be worse. Our President/CEO/List Manager/Coaching Director/Boot Studder could be Paul Little.

Another simple question - have we even advertised the position?fingers wrote:

For instance has an ad been placed in a Friday AFR?
If not it proves we aren't actually looking.

Re: New CEO
Not true at all. The advertising could be done via a recruitment agenceny, the applicant could be headhunted or the guys on the board would have plenty of contacts and no reason why they couldn't do it via expression of interest.
