headline we want to see - ASADA swing the axe as Demetriou calls it a day
headline we wish we dont see - ASADA no closer to decision as investigation turns to all clubs
Former Saint who will have the better season - Dal Santo over Ball over Goddard over McEvoy

i think its strange you both have WCE in the bottom 4 ... last year i reckon they held back once they knew top 4 was out of the question this year with a new coach i reckon the will be just outside the 8 provided they can get their best 22 out on the park more often .. i was really tempted to put Gold coast into the 8 as i reckon they are set for a big year and will take some big scalps this year ... Richmond for me are the dark horse i think they could have a really big year .. the Swans are the one team more than anyother that i dont want to see win the flag .. its strange i would rather see Geelong win another or Collingwood or even Carlton over the swans ..

Trav - I feel uneasy about the Eagles. I feel they are a bit like us - no mans land.

Their old guys are too old and their young guys too young.

Kennedy and NicNat are primed - but two players isn't enough for them.

The team I feel will rise the highest is Norf. If they can stop choking they will be top 4.

St Trav, what was/is the word on Acres in Perth. I'm hoping he'll be one of the picks of the draft.

Depressingly I hear Billy Hartung is absolutely smashing it at Hawthorn and they say he will end the career of Sewell this year and be a massive score for them. We just about had him on the payroll at Seaford. Bontempelli is absolutely creaming it at the Dogs too. I thought he might be another Andreas Everitt but looks like he's more Pendlebury mixed with Josh Kennedy.

No pressure on our new recruits but they had better be better than they are so far. That said I like the kids we got...they just had better get good quickly so I don't have to look at the Hawks recruiting and the Pies and cry a little.

WE've had plenty who have smashed it at pre-season and then disappeared. It was a surprise to me that so many overlooked Harting, though

See - I must have mentally blanked them out :-)
Same old same old for the Blues 9th-11th.
Lack of scoring options being their problem still.

Steady on there, Gringo. A massive difference between the track and a game. Remember the term, "March Champion"? History is littered with them. Let's see how Billy goes when the real stuff starts. I doubt he'll even be a regular senior payer, much less end the career of a player of the quality of Sewell. I've seen a bit of Billy at junior level, and while he's got plenty of upside, he's got a long way to go before he breaks into a premiership side.

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Acres has a chance of actually being the best player in this draft which we will not know for another 5 or so years at least, I would've been furious if we'd taken Hartung over Acres, we don't need another midget on our list, Acres provides something we don't have much of - a tall mid with excellent athletic pedigree who can play anywhere with fantastic leadership credentials. Hartung is a fit, small runner who had issues following instructions.

If Hartung comes good, then every other team other than Essendon can kick themselves also. I'm sure plenty of teams will kick themselves when they see Every kid in the land with Templetons # on their back or Acres.
