From Today's Age
"Swann confirmed he had been approached about filling St Kilda's vacant CEO role but had told officials he was not interested.
It's understood former AFL operations manager Adrian Anderson and West Coast Eagles CEO Trevor Nisbett have also been contacted about the job."

Would be a good get as he knows how to be the AFL's belero monkey, having played that role form 10 years.markp wrote:Dunno, but he'd know exactly where the AFL has buried plenty of bodies over the years....Cairnsman wrote:Would Adrian Anderson be a good get?

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Re: swan new CEO ?
Adrian Anderson IMHO would be terrible. Came across as the second least competent official the AFL has ever had.saintspremiers wrote:What about Jeff?
And your suggesting Jeff Gieschen!

he's ridden the cook wave for all its worth and has been helped by big corporate sponsors in a 2 team town, that had quite a bit of cash due to the mining boom.Con Gorozidis wrote:how come?defacto wrote:hell noCon Gorozidis wrote:I wouldn't mind T Nisbett.
he has struggled in areas and i do mean seriously struggled in areas of leadership where he had a challenge. he has struggled in areas that we have struggled in, in the last 3 years. communication and conflict between him and the board is quite high at the moment
one thing he has done amazingly well though is getting the club involved in the community

Nope, I meant Jeff Kennett. On a 6 month mission like what the Dees got with their interim CEO.
We are an administrative basket case close to being on life support AFL-style it seems so would be a good tactic.

Re: swan new CEO ?
We have an excellent candidate in the frame but he is unavailable for another few months due to his current position.
The name has not been mentioned in this thread yet. My mail is that we are likely to appoint him close to the middle of the year - so there might be some smoke and mirrors in the interim.
