Mate, I hope so and will be doing everything I can to make it an annual event on "Fan Day". The march is on for this year on August 10 (Bulldogs game). I will be ramping up the propaganda as it gets closer !!st_Trav_ofWA wrote:
will we be doing the march around the dome again in 2015 ??

Need to write a new theme song for the occasion. My daughter bought me the DVD of Les Miserables for Christmas (she loves it!) and I reckon we can work out on the following:Eastern wrote:Mate, I hope so and will be doing everything I can to make it an annual event on "Fan Day". "Can you here the people sing When the Saints Come Marching In ....."
It is an overwhelmingly powerful song when sung by the revolutionists in the film. That could be us. It would frighten the crap out of the opposition with a big crowd marching and singing.
As for what I can do to support the Saints in 2014? I'm buying my wife a new car so we are less nervous when taking off on the 400 km return trip to our matches. I want to see at least every home game. Better times are coming, believe me!

Everyone marching should wear their scarve's as balaclava's and whilst circling the ground light flares , vandalise property and beat up anyone in our way .
Then the club can praise the passion of our supporter's !
p.s. i'm being facetious .

Ha ha. Do you expect us to believe that!plugger66 wrote:Watch them on TV as much as possible and if they start well buy a membership.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Do what I do every year, already have my membership, my reserved seat and hopefully go to Sydney to watch them play.
Don't have high expectations, but hope to see improvement from last year and a happier team.

Renew my membership and try to convert my non-footy supporting girlfriend.
Anyone here been successful at getting an unsporty partner interested in the Saints?

My wife had no interest in footy before I met her and thought it was a low brow morons game. She claimed she followed the Hawks because her brother did but she couldn't name a single AFL player let alone a Hawk.
When we were going well she was right into the Saints- she has stopped coming along to games since we swan dived though. She is still a convert to the cause though and claims sainthood. From low brow past time she ended up getting excited when she used to see all the Saints players down Bay Street at the cafes.
Actually it is a theme- I might be a bully- I converted my ex as well but she followed Fitzroy so wasn't hard when they jumped to Brissie.

Nah mate, we all need to hve expectations, but realistic expectations.
I have real expectations of seeing an improved gameplan (after AR has been able to settle it in), no more goofy team selections (that many of us questioned throughout last season), the continued development of players like Steven, Newnes, Roberton, Wright, Murdoch, Webster etc.
The beginnings of careers like Billings, Acres et al, the hopeful beginning of Markworth, the hopeful emergence of Wight, the play of Savage, Delaney, Bruce etc, the continued forward development of Lee...
and the delisting of TDL
Dont expect multiple wins, but I dont expect Melbourne and GWS type defeats week after week.
My expectations will be more in 2015, and looking for a tilt at finals in 2016.
Lance or James??

under rated post this one ..... i reckon if we could get the cheer squad to chant that instead of the old "wooo" chant it would sound great ...Trev from the Bush wrote:
