Is anyone home at Seaford?
Not a word coming out of the camp since they released the financial results before Xmas. I would prefer that we fly under the radar, given our media history, but surely the fans need to be kept interested particularly when we are struggling for memberships.

Re: Is anyone home at Seaford?
I know what you're saying, frustrating, especially the story they left on before the break.
The only positive here is January they're usually refining or learning a new game plan, I assume we're in the latter category with a new Coach. Once the tennis is over, footy will dominate the media again and the web site should be full of content.

Re: Is anyone home at Seaford?
You sort of wonder "what more can they do" on the financial score. The results are what they are and really until they get a new CEO in place you'd think we probably won't see too many new fund raising initiatives. Plus the new year is only 12 days old and really the sleep is probably still being rubbed from the eyes.
I'd say it's only early days yet but probably need a year or two of the new Pres being at the wheel to see if he can improve the financial fortunes of the club. I just hope the economy doesn't take a turn for the worse because that will make it even tougher having said that we should see some savings in the power bill shortly.

1. The journos are too LAZY to go that far to chase a story, or
2. There is a major lack of deodorant down Seaford way
!!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
Re: Is anyone home at Seaford?
You realise it's January 12th, right? I reckon most of the staff are on leave because this is the quietest time of year for a footy club. Not to mention that the same applies to newspapers so there aren't many journos around.sainters4eva wrote:Not a word coming out of the camp since they released the financial results before Xmas. I'm sure in the next week or two we'll start to see stories about Sam Dunell training the house down, and Seb Ross being ready to take the next step, and Luke Dunstan being impressed with the facilities at Seaford. In total they'll only mean about as much as no story, though.

Or 3. It is the normal Xmas /New Year shut down period when no one is around to talk to (or to leak!!!), and even a lot of the sports journos are on break.Eastern wrote:It has to be one of two things that is keeping the saints out of the media;sainters4eva wrote:Not a word coming out of the camp since they released the financial results before Xmas. And now we have the Oz Open so that takes a lot of journo junket time.
Wait until 27 Jan for the big footy media stuff.

Re: Is anyone home at Seaford?
Club PR staff on a break.
Footy journos on a break.
Footy fans never have a break.
That said, Melbourne have come back extra early to prepare for 2014 and piled all their PR staff back on. Received a stupendously large media turnout for their run around Princes Park - because it was the only thing happening in footy.

Re: Is anyone home at Seaford?
The footy stories this time of year are mostly crap anyway, telling us who is training the house down etc etc. Fluff really.
Another month when the cricket is done it will be full on footy.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Hes coming off shoulder surgery, what else would you expect, the biggest bench press in the team?
Re: Is anyone home at Seaford?
Agreed - I wonder if they're having another go at making a midfielder out of him?footynut wrote:Hasn't Siposs heard of the benefits of weight training. Have looks less defined than some of our recent draftees
Re: Is anyone home at Seaford?
You cant over train and or rush a shoulder repair, these things take time, what is it you guys want?
Siposs would be on a modified program probably doing Pilates at most right now.

Apparently Hickey thinks Jolly is a gun coach though and that's all I've seen coming out of Seaford.
