Re: CEO update
Do we actually need a CEO, time to look outside triangle, the boards of most clubs look a little top heavy at the the executive level, especially when you consider the smallish turnover the business handles.

Re: CEO update
At the very least, it would be good to have a different person to deal with the media than new Pres. Summers.Cairnsman wrote:Do we actually need a CEO, time to look outside triangle, the boards of most clubs look a little top heavy at the the executive level, especially when you consider the smallish turnover the business handles.
As for not needing a CEO, I'm unsure of the organisational structure. I wonder who Pelchen currently reports to.

Of course we do.
A. It would be completely inappropriate for the board to be that close to operations
B. There is way too much for any board member to be a board member, have their own employment AND be execute the duties of the CEO.
BTW don't expect any update on new CEO until the new year.

Re: CEO update
So it seems the Saints Board are very quick to dismiss those below Pelchen but very tardy putting someone above him.
Seems like the Pelch is well and truly running the joint.
He will lead us to either heaven or hell.

We need a very good, professional CEO, to pull the Club/people together. The current internal employees are carrying far too much baggage.

Opinion or fact? Naming names would also add credibility !!Junction Oval wrote:We need a very good, professional CEO, to pull the Club/people together. The current internal employees are carrying far too much baggage.
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

If that's the case maybe they are waiting for another option to pop up and make a quick decision to take that person and in the process upset Pelchen enough that he leaves.

Re: CEO update
The silence from Seaford is deafening at the moment. When we sacked Watters, Summers said we'd have a new Senior Coach and CEO by the end of November, and the new strategic plan would be announced in coming weeks. Plus, we still haven't replaced Centrebet as a 2nd major sponsor.
What's going on??

Better to wait and get it right than to rush into things.Heidelberg_Saint wrote:What's going on??
Presumably the strategic plan will also need to be signed off/agreed to by the CEO, hence the wait.
If they have already made a decision re the new CEO but that person can't start in the position until the new year, then they will wait until then to make an announcement.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Really? The appointment of the CEO is probably the single biggest appointment we will make this year. On par or ever more than the coach. Got to get it right.

Any truth in the rumour that the Skunk's have ditched their major sponsor saying they are now too 'small time', and that the Skunks are off-loading that bunch of has-beens onto us?Heidelberg_Saint wrote:The silence from Seaford is deafening at the moment. Re: CEO update
seems like some romours of the last 6- 12 months have been confused
strong word was we got dibbed at the last moment on that motor company before they went to that other team.... woudl be happy if this reversed.
other stronger word was that an international airline was not happy at being asked to pay 3 times as much to be a sponsor of the same club-- told the club that they were not an international brand so they wouldn't be putting that many $$$ into them last I read.....
I guess we await branding on new outfits after Christmas..

Re: CEO update
for the moment we have a CEO .... Michael Nettlefold has indicated that he intends to leave at some point but for the time being is still holding the role ... from what i here the club have a short list of CEO candidates and have already interviewd them but the club is in no rush to make an appointmnet as there is no need to rush the decision .. in my opinion now Watters has gone i think the urgance for Netters to leave has lessened .. we are still very much on the look out for a new one but not desperatly looking for one
