Can someone tell me what the benefits of this camp is? From what I can see the best they will achieve is a higher concentration of red blood cells for 10–14 days. The footy season is months away. It appears the real benefit is living at a high altitude and coming down amongst the mere mortals to compete. (Sounds a bit like Hercules)

about 1.15 in to the Gilbert video he and TDL are training with Gilbert doing a drill. But his hair was parted differently and he wasn't smiling so it must be true he's left in spirit.

The Saints boys didn’t go unnoticed in the crowd and we actually got interviewed on the big screen at the first break. Myself, Dan Markworth and Tom Hickey were up on the massive jumbotron doing an interview which was a different sort of experience.

I was a little bit nervous at the start only because I didn’t know what the American fans would think so I bunged on the Aussie accent as thick as I could for their benefit.

It was pretty exciting though – I copped a bit of stick from the boys because I stuffed up a few things like I usually do but it was all good fun.

Overall the camp has been pretty tough but in a good way. The weather has been really good and we have trained hard. Adam Basil is really good and knows his stuff. He knows how to train us hard and Richo is starting to implement some stuff that we are going to tweak and work into the season. Everything is looking really positive
