Francis Leach is a champion bloke & a die hard Saints supporter. He was one of the big organisers of the SOS concert in 1995 that helped keep our club afloat.

I think Francis Leach is a good bloke and I have met him before and can judge that. I think he has a tendency toward bagging us publicly as he follows the John Faine school of not looking like a fan but goes too far sometimes. I can remember him bagging Raph Clarke when he was on SEN. He can have an opinion but singling individuals for ridicule when you want them to perform better isn't a good look from a fan or a broadcaster.

Journos are meant to be impartial but it can be easy to go too hard in an effort to look unbiased.

We just finished 3rd last and it looks like we will probably struggle again.
Our membership is falling.
We're locked into a terrible stadium deal.
On every indicator our finances are heading south.
We probably have organisational and governance issues at management and board level.
We have no CEO.
We just sacked our coach.
We're perceived as a rabble by the general football public and the media.

The club will struggle through etc but we're not in boom times.

I agree, we are not currently in boom times, but I can see all the above points that you very correctly raised, being turned around by the end of this decade.

We have our list management finally in place. IMHO the importance of this can't be overstated. I'm very confident that soring out our list management will lead to the long awaited 'monkey-off-our-backs' breakthrough second flag... then, the rest will follow, and we will be booming.
