Well we traded McEvoy to Hawthorn who had previously indicated to Longer that they would take him from those nasty Lions.

When Hawthorn secured McEvoy, Longer and the Saints both realised that we were a match made in heaven.

And they lived happily ever after.

Premiership after Premiership followed as did Brownlows for the new Saints ruck man.

Dream finished, time for bed ………… zzzzzzzz

I wonder if Vossy was emulating the Ross Lyon style of ignoring recruits until they demanded upgrading. Perhaps Ross has provided Roberton and Longer in a round about way. Now he just needs to give us Fife for free and all is forgiven.

Very good team there - makes you wonder how good GWS will be if managed well.

we are extremely lucky GWS did that bizarre move on passing him in their first draft, letting him slide to brisbane. rest is history

From one piece I read... BIG TIME.

Seems on the Teddies only took 18 blokes on their big OS pre-season training trip.

Must have been one hell of a training trip. Got those blokes so fit, not only did none of them get injured all year, but they didn't even need to take any rotation breathers during games.
