Shortlist of 2 for new coach by Wednesday
http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/st- ... 2x9vk.html
this sham interview process is almost complete.
assistants Kingsley and McPhee interviewed I assume to see if they could work with Choco.
Harvey rightly out of the picture and the other 2 interviews are just time wasting PC fillers.
Welcome to the Saints Choco (come end of this week)

I'm happy with Williams.
But it does sound like a sham process in the making.
So many not approached. I'm a process man, you follow the process and access on a considered basis.

I suspect that Kingsley & McPhee would be going through the interview process for experience as part of their development. I see this as a good thing for these guys. Kingsley will/should step up to the Senior Assistant Role in 2014 !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Re: Shortlist of 2 for new coach by Wednesday
It looks/seems to be another Saints farce - that is, the process. However, I thought that the people/process that appointed SW was first class - but look what reality delivered !! Now, it looks like no-one even wants to be interviewed for the job - an AFL coaching position that normally has people knocking themselves over for.
Interviewing the Saints assistants is simply making up the numbers. I am not saying that Chocko is not any good. He's very experienced, has proven coaching ability, is mature and understands the system. Also, he will not accept crap from people. There simply isn't anyone out there at this time of year, who looks anywhere near capable of handling the job. The "others left" are not worth speaking to and I am happy that the Saints will not be interviewing some. I also think that Harves made the right decision for himself, by not interviewing.

Does anyone know who the other 2 to be interviewed are?

If Williams knows he's a shoe in then he'll be trying to stack it in his favour ie money and terms. Seems like it could end up like a game of poker. Maybe McPhee could be the answer.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was all (at least unofficially) agreed to before watters was given the news.magnifisaint wrote:If Williams knows he's a shoe in then he'll be trying to stack it in his favour ie money and terms. I just hope netters isn't handling the contract negotiations.
