Re: The Top Gun
To acquire Mav the plan may well have been that Ledger had to go.skeptic wrote:Ledger should have stayed on the list and IMO if he'd played 5 more games we'd feel more comfortable with thatSobraz wrote:Not sure how to feel about this...
See very little difference between him and Ledger...
so if it's like for like or Mav is better... good outcome
with Delaney and Bruce on board we have an excess of tall and medium flankers. So Dunell will be under pressure.
TDL is the one left I gave least faith in.
Milera has talent and I would give him another year to show more

Re: The Top Gun
There's no way Curren sits on the rookie list, definitely in the senior list.
Someone will have to make way I assume... but Weller looks worth it, young and fairly large/solid unit, hope he has good disposal, get it done

Please tell me you are joking... Having a joke about someone joining the club means you aren't a Saints supporter?sax wrote:Twitter joke I think.

Re: The Top Gun
My contact (not on Twitter) still seems to think this is happening. Taking a little longer than expected for some reason.
He hasn't let me down yet with his tidbits. Hope this is not the first!!!

I think Weller would be a good get. Definitely better than at least our bottom half dozen!

someone would grab him before us.....don't think you can rookie players before the rookie draft...but you can list free agents.....on your main list....dragit wrote:I think he'd be perfect for the rookie list… upgrade him next year when we will have plenty of delistings.

Re: The Top Gun
We have pick 3 so we'd be reasonable chance... GWS don't need him & Melbourne have already added Vince, Michie & Tyson.stinger wrote:someone would grab him before us.....don't think you can rookie players before the rookie draft...but you can list free agents.....on your main list....dragit wrote:I think he'd be perfect for the rookie list… upgrade him next year when we will have plenty of delistings.

I think Gartlett will be taken in the main draft, and so will not be around for the rookie draft.dragit wrote:We have pick 3 so we'd be reasonable chance... With 3 top 20 picks, I think Gartlett would be too risky IMO for any of them, and will not be there for a really late pick, or rookie pick.

Re: The Top Gun
Mo Farah is fit. Probably wouldn't get a kick.
Question marks on other aspects of his game, but I hope as ever we make the right decision. Have read some quite reasonable assessments from Suns fans on BF who don't doubt fitness, toughness, and endeavour. But game awareness and disposal not strong parts of his game.
If he's trying to prove people wrong, and on his last chance, then he will be incredibly motivated. Rookie sounds right.

Re: The Top Gun
For all the flak he gets, I thought CJ had quite a good season. His disposal did get better....am expecting incoming....! And he does an amazing tagging job each week. Plus get a lot of disposals himself. But it's fashionable to say we won't get better with him in the team.saint6709 wrote:Looks to have the attributes of a tagger - maybe he can ease CJ out of a role

I like jones - he has done some good work - but he will be 30 before the season starts - weller may be able to transition into his roleVerdun66 wrote:For all the flak he gets, I thought CJ had quite a good season.
