When you're weary, feeling small (no pun intended Scott)
When tears are in your eyes (now you know how that burnt dwarf felt)
I will dry them all (Dermott will give you a cuddle)
I'm on your side (not many are alas)
Oh when times get rough (your $500,000 payout should ease the pain a bit)
And friends just can't be found (guessing Mr Pelchen won't be getting a Chrissie card from you)
Like a bridge over troubled Watters
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled Watters
I will lay me down
All the best Scott. You gave the ladies some eye candy. You turned the list over which we needed badly. You gave Kosi, Blakey and Milney a great send off and the supporters a great memory. Problem was at St Kilda "long-term" can mean a matter of hours.

Thanks Scott, I appreciate that you tried to turn our club around and you probably had best intentions. I appreciate that you tried to give some of the younger players game time and it takes a lot of courage to come in after a reasonably successful coach has left and the list has gone rotten.
I hope that you come out of this experience a better coach and you get on with your life without bearing grudges.

Hope you have learned your lesson.
Trying to develop A-Graders from the WAFL
is like paying for a uni course for a teenager from Kwinana
(southern bogan suburb of Perth, similar to Hoppers Crossing or Broady)
Fruitless, hopeless exercise in futility, which wastes everyone's time, and robs a genuine contender of a chance to reach their potential.

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

You entered the team as coach at a very difficult time. So it was never going to be an easy role to fill.
Thankyou for all you did, and all the best of luck for the future - in both your private and professional life.

Waiting somewhat patiently. When it comes, another St Kilda Premiership will be all the sweeter for the wait. GO SAINTS ! ! !

Enjoy a nice waffle whilst coaching back in the WAFL.
You remind me of GT - someone who tried to control everything. Problem is you had no one on your side!

Confusing. Is it only the good players pelchen got. Surely pelchan and SW worked together on trades and drafting older players?

Scott, you remind me if Blighty.
When you go to a club as head coach, you need to respect that club and the people who work within it. You also need to stay within your parameters as coach, and that means coaching and not a million other things. Also, be careful who you get your advice from next time. Remember, Dermie has never coached, so he is not qualified to give advice on it.
Finally, the players who nearly took us to two premierships in 2009 and 2010 busted their arses for this football club. They were professional, dedicated, and hard working and for the most part, still are. That is NOT mediocrity. Their previous efforts and their current value deserved respect, not derision.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

All the best for the future.
We may never know the whole truth behind your sudden departure but I'd like to think you did some good while you were at the club for 2 seasons.
I think we can give you credit for really giving the rebuild a kick-off and introducing a lot of players, 24 in total I believe is the number.
Maybe some of them will go on to be A graders and forever be thankful to you.
You were a champion player and an excellent assistant. I hope you find a job that gives you great satisfaction.
All the best for the future. Cheers SW.
