I'll just buy a Sandy membership instead of using my Saints membership to get into Zebras games.

And barrack for Harry, i'm always injured, Kewell, you'd be better off supporting Netball.ShanghaiSaint wrote:microwave time if Ratten is the head coach... think i will forget afl all together and join up with melbounre heart.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

I took up the Heart because they are at least close to our colours. I was too pissed by the NSL going to follow that Melbourne Victory manufactured rubbish when it started.

Re: Brett Ratten
Not convinced he is a bad coach.... did not have a good list... people over-rated their list and thought he should have done more, but it is not as though Mick M did any better.. missing the finals except for the Essendope debacle

Re: Brett Ratten
would certainly be better now than when he was at Carlton.... year at a different club as assistant... would have learned a lot at the Hawks the past year
I have no real idea of course, as to his nouse... but it does not seem a crazy suggestion to me

Re: Brett Ratten
It's all a smokescreen I'm hoping this process rubbish.
If taken seriously, there is a threat someone other than Choco gets the job.
Does our new Prez think we are fools?
This same process rubbish landed us the dwarf.

Re: Brett Ratten
What if it does turn out that Pelchen can't work with anyone and Williams is considered the only that can work with him, then what happens if Pelchen gets a coach other than Williams. Will they be an effective team? Gee I hope the club isn't painted into a corner.
Re: Brett Ratten
If he couldn't build a team with
Chris Judd
3 straight #1 picks
A number 2 pick
And a host of other list advantages....
Seriously
Even GT with less bonuses... Was able to get stk into the top 4 3 years after taking charge

Re: Brett Ratten
Agree with the OP. Ratten = no membership or reserved seat renewal for me.
Surely Williams is the stand out?

Re: Brett Ratten
The team on field that eventually gets us back into contention will be totally different to the current line up imo.
No matter who get's the job it's just a fill in role for a couple of years and then they'll turn on him when things aren't going too well. I think it really doesn't matter who we appoint right now -
I can't see unity in the short term...unless we have a united board, a strong president and strong leaders that everyone respects and everyone listens to.
Maybe get the Geish? He's free isn't he...at least we might get the umpies on side!
We need a uniting force at St Kilda that can lead the club in everything football related... similar to Jason Dunstall and his role at the Hawks. Who have we got that can be our Dunstall?

Re: Brett Ratten
I'm signed up (and upgraded to boot) for 2014 REGARDLESS OF WHO THE COACH IS! As I say, I don't attach conditions for my membership of the Saint Kilda Football Club. GO SAINTS! (to hell with the rest!)
St Kilda forever ( God help me)

Re: Brett Ratten
I'm prepared to bury any preconceptions I may have about ANY candidate for the position of Senior Coach of the St Kilda Football Club, if they are selected to do the job. IF Brett Ratten is selected to take the role, then I will give him my 100% support. For God's sake, we have to give the new man a chance (whoever it turns out to be!)

Re: Brett Ratten
holly burnt crepes... i always forget about Gibbs being a number 1 pick.
That is disgusting that Carlton had 3 number one picks in a row and have never looked like pushing for a flag.
Thankfully they didn't select Pendlebury, Selwood and Cotchin.
