If there is a good reason for breaking his assurance and ousting Cuddles... tell us!

Watters failed the test of a full review… it wasn't Pelchen's doing, it wasn't the players causing mutiny… the board running the club decided he was not up to the task.

Hey everyone else who has posted in this thread, please re-read my post.

There's no call for airing dirty linen.

That is not the issue! Surely valid reasons can be given for Summers reneging on his assurance to Cuddles, without going overboard???

So far, we have the president of the mighty 141 year old St Kilda Football Club assuring Cuddles that he's wanted long term as our coach, then turning around and sacking him! (Compare and contrast to Rightaway re Ro$$y.)

The sacking may well have been the correct move. (I don't have the information to know, to make a reasonable assessment.) However, Summers insulted us with that presser for the mushroom-crowd. His name, his word, his honour is on the line.

He must explain why he broke his assurance to Cuddles. If he can't justify doing such a thing...,
then no one will be able to trust him,
and by extension, no one will be able to trust any undertaking made to them by the club.

That would be untenable for our club.

Yes, it is that serious! Think about it for a minute guys n gals... this is the bigger picture that people are currently overlooking.

You honestly have no idea do you - you consistently go off half baked. You simply cannot publicly air all the reasons why Scott was sacked, it is common and normal business practice. Go through every AFL coach who has been sacked and check if the Club President has unloaded - I suspect it would be very rare.

On top of it all, it wouldn't be good for the club to be sued for breaking a confidentiality clause. Wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal etc etc. Would definitely send us under. No way can they say anything.

As much as we would like to know....

But it's a fair bet that after his review he was told to never again do things off his own bat. Going on SEN when told not to, and during a board meeting, will have you sacked every day of the week. Here's your hat, what's your hurry!

Sounds like with the bizarre Saad incident Watters lost the confidence of Nettlefold and the Board.
His comments at the B&F clearly upset a few players.

The Board retaliated by given Pelchen more power and instigating the review.
