Grant Thomas must return
There is a headless chicken running around the the streets of Seaford, it's called the St Kilda Football Club. The club has lost direction- GT and Rod Butters please make up, and move in and rout this rotten lot.

No complaints from me if that were to happen. He was great for the club. But imagine the pissing contest between him and Pelican.

Re: Grant Thomas must return
Frankly I wouldn't mind having Thomas back. I just want lot's of die hard Saints people in charge. I'm def not a fan of imports with flashy CV's who aren't committed to our cause.

Thomas vs Pelchin
That'd be awesome ....GT would at least dethrone the snake.... But then he'd take over and be a bigger issue... Because the AFL would assassinate him if they could...

Re: Grant Thomas must return
Those 10 weeks at the start of 2004 were the best weeks of my life.
GT had us humming.
We were invincible.
If only we could bottle that feeling.
Or better - reignite it.
Maybe GT could do it again?

Re: Grant Thomas must return
Really great thought Grant can be .Coach . CEO . President . Secretary . Recruiter.
His ego will carry it thru until he turns out the light on the club rooms.
Or did you not notice in media street today Yep here's Grant front centre.
Sick of the club theatrics really thought the club had got thru this crap .......".disunity is death "
And if they appoint Robert Harvey as coach as the " messiah" I will not attend 1 game going forward .

The man who couldn't take the best saints list of all time to a grand final? No thanks. A narcissist of the highest order. Consign him to the bin of history where he belongs. In racing parlance, "prefer others".
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

What if they simply appoint him as plain old 'coach'?lloyd21 wrote:Really great thought Grant can be .Coach . CEO . President . Secretary . Recruiter.

This is a guy who oversaw the " plumbers " in the club rooms the last time he was " coach"to make sure showers were installed
Correctly .
He also controlled and oversaw player contracts as "coach" To make sure we had salary cap issues in the future.
I could add 50 other things but blood is boiling at minute
Re: Grant Thomas must return
We have GT mark II
Who prepares the list, provides the strategy and instructs the coach... As his boss
Why have a coach?

Ridiculous thread. Reactionary. Pointless. No different to a lot of other stuff being posted I suppose.

Re: Grant Thomas must return
How long do you really think it'd take before Tho as decided (by himself) that there were "no other better candidates " (cause he knows best) before anointing himself coach?bergsone wrote:Would no mind GT back at the saints ,but not as senior coach.............just IMO
Seriously some supporters amaze me - this guy was an egotistical fruit cake probably 10 times Pelchens with f'all coaching pedigree who had a super list and failed miserably.
It took a REAL coach in Lyon to drag this club together - something loud mouth Thomas could only dream of
IF we went backwards to Thomas we may as well fold.

Re: Grant Thomas must return
Grant did a great job helping turn around the club, and for that I'm very grateful. But every time I hear him criticise the club, I just see it as him trying to be a power-broker again.
Won't surprise me if there is a faction in the wings trying to wrest control though, but whether GT is involved is another matter.
