Adam Basil - new High Performance Mgr

Post: # 1411344Post Con Gorozidis »

Bas- I've met him a few times around the traps.

He should be good.

More focus on strength with Bas than Bill 'female triathlon' Davoren.

Not the guy from Faulty Towers?

I remember him at Victory when they were dominating. Hopefully he can bring that to the Saints.

He must be no good or desperate for a job.
After all everybody knows what a rabble we are and that we are in disarray.
Surely nobody any good would agree to come to work for us?

Adam looks a good addition from what I have read about him. Best wishes.

Not sure that Bill Davoren gave us much, but many young players and major injuries to key players, did not help him.

I wonder if Caro will wriite an article on this appointment

I very much doubt it - will probably be left to one of the underlings

Happy that we found what appears to be a suitable replacement for Davoren so quickly

Maybe it was already in the works, before Davoren officially resigned and left for greener pastures?
All we're told by the 'gloom and doom merchants' is that he left us to go elsewhere - no information as to whether we were happy with his work or not.
I suppose if a change to another was in the works it wouldn't have been much of a story for the chief football writer of The Age, would it?

She just loves slagging the club off.
She wouldn't dream of writing something positive.

Awesome. Someone who knows something about speed. Of the legal kind.

May his tenure be happy and longer than any of his predecessors ...

Caro just headbutted her keyboard in frustration, she can't get the mud to stick

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Yeah that rings a bell actually.
I think there was a group doing sprint training in Perth at that time and Bas was doing that and some work at the Dockers.

Hopefully we benefit from the thyme he puts in. Could be a very sage move.
