I was at that game too and I remember thinking to myself at the time that we were going to have a shortage of key back man in 20 years time if only keep on focusing on the short term.kosifantutti wrote:Born June 8 1992.

I was at Wentworth Greyhounds on the NSW/Vic border for the long weekend...having a punt on the Cup meeting and many a beer watching it on a small caravan tv selling hot food and green cans.

studying for a first semester exam (well listening to the game on the radio) in a cold double fronted Victorian in Newport.
Was that the day Kenny grabbed Davenport over the fence (who then went on to kick the winning goal)?

I was at that game! Geez I feel old now!
When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

One of the greats - think Lockett was out, and Bowser may have been involved in the last goal.

Bruce screaming "Cravens on his own in the goal square!!!" as Davenport kicked it over his shoulder from the boundary.Bowey Boy wrote:One of the greats - think Lockett was out, and Bowser may have been involved in the last goal.
Laurence Bingham had the last touch of the day.

Living in Freo. Would have been working that day as a sales guy for a Freo based bakery. Driving around in my little yellow Honda.

I was there too. I'm pretty sure the crowd was 80,000 that day wasn't it? Great atmosphere!

I was at the "G" with everyone else that frequents this forum
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
