From looking at the 2011 Draft Highlight Clip our boy Billy Longer is a beautiful tap ruckman with a terrific set of hands.

Shifter said he is really quick which will be a welcome change from the plodder that used to play for us!!

If Longer can develop into the player that he was considered to be when he was drafted this will be one of the best trades we have made in the last 20 years!!

What we really need to do now is to bring on the best ruck coach that we can afford to develop and nuture Longer and Hickey (and Pearce) and make them the best ruck combo in the comp!

Fair play to Brisbane too. They have used #41 to get Trent West to them. A much more sensible ruck division for them given that Leuenberger is their number 1 ruck who needs a back-up. West is exactly that spudulike.
